Iron Man has risked everything to save Eddie Brock, but now he's left with nothing but guilt. As longtime 'frenemy' Doctor Doom shows up with both counseling words and ulterior motives, they'lll be forced to battle an all-too-familiar specter of the holiday season-albeit one now twisted and controlled by the recent invasion of Earth by the symbiote homeworld. As Iron Man and Doom fight as temporary allies, their unexpected encounter both with each other and a horrifying inversion of yuletide joy may ultimately reveal to them the true meaning of Knull-mas.

King In Black: Iron Man/Doom #1 is a great holiday-themed one-shot. For better or worse it doesn't tie into King in Black too deeply so anyone can enjoy this. Come for the well-written dialogue and great personalities of Iron Man and Dr. Doom, but stay for the wacky adventure that only comics can deliver. Read Full Review
When all is said and done, Iron Man/Doctor Doom #1 delivers an interesting story that challenges its protagonists both mentally and physically. The art is top-notch, and the extra effort given to its presentation makes it shine right down to the last panel. Read Full Review
It is refreshing to see that Marvel has learned their lesson by making the King in Black tie-ins relevant without being essential. King In Black: Iron Man/Doom #1 is one you should tie into your collection. Read Full Review
A great holiday spin-off to an otherwise dark event. Read Full Review
This is a nice one-off combining half of each of the greatest Iron Man creative teams of the 21st century for something really fun. It might have little in the way of impact on The King In Black event as a whole, but who really cares when you have Doctor Doom and Iron Man saving Christmas in what can be considered the purest and best form of comic book nonsense. It is a fun read if you love either character, and gives two people who have shown the best of what Iron Man can be a chance to collaborate. Read Full Review
The theme of an evil Santa did not mesh well with Tony Stark trying to overcome his grief over the death of Eddie Brock. Read Full Review
With a more expressive artist to elevate the material, Iron Man/Doctor Doom #1 potentially could have been a must-read, especially for a between-holidays, fifth week one-off. But unless you're a completionist for either character, or you're looking to read every entry of the King in Black event, you can probably skip this one, or wait until next Christmas when it's on Marvel Unlimited. King in Black: Iron Man/Doctor Doom aspires to the odd traditional team-up of these characters, but is burdened by far too many ideas to execute any one of them well. Leave it. Read Full Review
Two billionaire geniuses take on the spirit of Christmas. No, it's not the true life story of the Koch brothers, it's somehow worse. Read Full Review
Top 10 quotes of all time: "You have just eliminated Nicholas, the jolliest of men."
You can't beat this kind of stupid.
In the wake of Knull, my fav armoured duo come together to save Santa?! Good to see their priorities are right!
Fun little issue for Christmas
I love the doom x tony dynamic solid work here
Doom believes in Santa Claus. 'Nuff said.
Just when MF DOOM's passing was announced to the Hip-Hop community , this was the book I needed to get me through.
Having read Doomquest and all of Infamous Iron Man , this continues to deliever in the tradition of a good story of Stark and Doom matching wits, with all the sarcastic cynicism required when dealing with these characters on the panel.
Yet even the story centering around Santa Claus could not lift dispell the pomp and postering these two titans tend to do whenever they share a title.
Two big egos , St. Nick, and some symbiotes - who knew this could be a recipe for succes?
Such a silly, dumb issue. But in a fun way, not a Dark Nights: Death Metal way.
I was ready to be salty about having to read a King in Black tie-in to get more of Cantwell's Doom, but 19 pages of Doctor Doom and Iron Man debating whether Santa is real actually turns out to be endearing enough to warm my bitter little heart.
hahaha what the hell was that, really very silly but I had fun
It is very stupid. But it works.
Haha oh my god what?
" Oh my god. They knullified Santa."
