Unlike the first issue, which seemed to be trying too hard to be The Vision, with this issue the series has clearly found its own voice. Once again we get another issue with no narration, no clue if this is what the writer is known for but it isn't an issue with this issue, everything was real straight and forward. Really enjoying what we get with Alice, Madison, and the dad Carl. Still wish had more information on the mom, Gloria. I will give Niko and Robbie this, they really do one great job as a team! Meet the Skrulls #2 was a solid entry into this mini-series even though it felt a little short in the story department. I am still enjoying the series and it has me interested to see where it is going with these characters. Henrichon delivers some really solid art throughout the entire issue. The spy-thriller tone coupled with a little family drama works surprisingly well and I do feel myself becoming a bit more attached to these characters with each and every issue. Read Full Review

Meet the Skrulls 2 is just as fabulous as the last issue. The reason this series is so good is the little things: the perfectly timed flashbacks that tell us who this family is, the flashbacks that make us feel empathy for Carl, the Tony Stark cameos, the Secret Invasion nostalgia, and the beautiful art.

I feel like this came out of nowhere and now it's suddenly a must read. Somehow, I adore and despise these characters at the same time.

Robbie Thompson is setting up a nice little family of Skrulls who are trying to handle their business on Earth (not Prime but maybe Ultimate Universe?) while dealing with a pesky little hunter. It makes me root for the bad guys. It makes you question motives all around. Especially for the the 2 teenage daughters. Great job Robbie on the story. But to me this wouldn't work without great art to assist and guide the story. Niko Henrichon is fantastic from his angles to compositions that guide the flow to his great facial expressions that guide the moods. Great colors by him as well with an assist from Laurant Grossat and i couldn't tell who did what so that's great job done there!!

Its in 616, which is the prime earth. Ultimate Universe was also destroyed

Oh where do they say that? Because based on the words difference between CAPITAL and small case words in the lettering. Also the Ultimate Universe is alive based on many hints like Al Ewing at the end of the Ultimates and many other books.

Sure there’s been hints but it’s not alive until it’s confirmed. Usually it’s 616 unless they say it isn’t. I haven’t seen anything that suggests it isn’t 616 and according to the goodbye page at the end of issue #5 Alice Warner is supposedly going to show up in future series

In Spider-Men II, they show the Ultimate Universe alive and well at the end. But the lettering hint is invalid as some 616 series use that lettering, like Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl.

If I’m not mistaking Reed Richards remade the Ultimate Universe when he rebuilt the multiverse but I doubt Marvel will be doing much with it for a while.

Oh that's funny. I've read Ms. Marvel since day one and never picked up on the lettering. I always thought that was the Ultimate Universe only. thanks for letting me know. Yeah the Ultimate Universe is alive but still no concrete plans. By the way I haven't read number 5 so i appreciate no spoilers :-)

I'm really into this. It's pretty crazy how well this is written.

Alice finally gets on board her family's espionage business, but her continued public shape-shifting draws the Skrull-hunter dude right to her. This script has a nice crosscut structure; very suitable for a thriller. Dad's deep disappointment in Alice is a crushing scene, but it makes it hard to get a read on the characters -- is there actually anybody here we can root for?
