    AIPT - Alyssa Jackson Apr 19, 2017

Outside of the main villain storyline, I'm so happy we got some great character movement throughout this arc. Zoe's transformation has been wonderful to watch, and her conversation with Nakia in the last issue was beautifully handled. And I'll admit that my heart gave a little leap when I realized that Kamala was calling Bruno, and the cover for next month's issue has me very excited for potentially reuniting this friendship. The ending to the Doc.x arc is a little confusing, but it's more than made up for by some of the best Ms. Marvel character work in forever! This issue really showcases the heart of Kamala Khan and why she's such a great new character. Read Full Review

    Black Nerd Problems - L.E.H. Light Apr 28, 2017

Miyazawa and Herring's art style together is unique and has become synonymous with the feeling and joy of Ms. Marvel. The dialog stays funny and reference filled, while still delivering the moral you'd expect: every now and then, it pays to just be nice. Not because you always win, but because you have to fight cruelty when you see it. It is a great message in a time when comics about superheroes who are genuinely super seem in short supply. Nerdophiles - Renee Marriott May 27, 2017

Ms. Marvel brings up the idea of compassion and asks why it is so hard in this world of performing to be compassionate toward others. Ms. Marvel also addresses that despite the overwhelming amount of negativity and cruelty that people possess, they are also able to change and that the good in the world is often overshadowed by bad. Weird Science - Dan Mayhoff Apr 24, 2017

This final issue of the latest Ms. Marvel story arc is a bit disappointing. Our big threat seems to be defeated rather easily and in a very strange way. However, we got amazing art and the scene at the beginning with Zoe and the school will tug on any reader's heartstrings. This is still an amazing book and one well worth buying. This one issue just kind of falls flat. Read Full Review

    PopMatters - Jack Fisher Apr 21, 2017

That's the most Ms. Marvel #17 accomplishes. It's different. It's relevant. It's a story with problems that can't be solved with punching, smashing, or one of Tony Stark's fancy gizmos. Even if that's all it accomplishes, it still ensures that Ms. Marvel will resonate with a new generation that fears more than just killer robots. Read Full Review
