Punisher Kill Crew #1 by Gerry Duggan and Juan Ferreyra is fun, exciting, filled with some truly "oh sh*t" moments and beautifully drawn Read Full Review
A standout work by Juan Ferreyra and a truly outrageous mission for the Punisher to take on. Absurd but undeniably fun Punisher storytelling. Read Full Review
Punisher Kill Krew #1 works in a way because it both does and doesn't take itself too seriously. There's something fun about it all as it mixes bullets and swords. What shouldn't work not only does but has me excited to see what comes next. Read Full Review
This book looks fantastic and if you dont mind revisiting a bit of the War of the Realms, there is some fun to be had. I will need a little more story going forward, but Gerry Duggan uses the page space to get every reader up to speed and then sends them off to the stars! Read Full Review
With a laser-focused aim to its audience, and not afraid to mix comedy with action, Dugan, Ferreyra and team creat something unique with "Punisher Kill Krew" #1 that certainly deserves your attention. Read Full Review
If this first issue is any indication, this five-part miniseries shows quite a lot of promise. Read Full Review
Punisher: Kill Krew #1 (of 5) is probably not a book anybody is going to rave about. But, man, is it some good comic book reading fun. It has that nice balance of silly yet still serious (check out the cover for issue #2) that Duggan does perfectly. The art is all-around solid and Ferreyra has some great creature designs that I can't wait to see more of. If you are having a little bit of a light week or need a little "pick me up" then pick up this issue for just a fun time. Read Full Review
Fans looking for more closure from War of the Realms or a great-looking Punisher book will find what they seek here, but this issue likely doesn't have too much appeal outside of that audience. Read Full Review
Despite my love for a more nostalgically camp and absurd version of the Punisher, the issue is just vague enough on what it's intentions are that "silly" turns into "uninspired" really quickly and ultimately begs the question of if War of the Realms material really needs this kind of continuation at all. Unexpectedly good
People often say that Frank cannot hang with or against heroes and super villains. And that him doing so is just the writers being fan boys/girls. But what Frank lacks in powers, he makes up for in ingenuity.
A great first issue and the whole goat riding across the universe got a chuckle. Not so silly that it’s bad.
"--but they've come to new york to die."
Haha well this was fun.
This was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Just Punisher being Punisher.
Punisher Kill Krew 1 is mostly a recap of what Frank was up to in Wr of the Realms and a set up for the rest of the series. Nothing of much importance happened in this issue and Dugan seemed to be conflicted on if this series is about Frank hunting Kasyckla or Frank hunting the killers of the orphans’ parents. The art was pretty solid except on Frank’s face
I get that the entire premise is basically "Punisher is mad unfazed by fighting crazy fantasy monsters," but this installment was a little too deadpan for my taste. Plus, as others have noted, this felt like it was more than 50% recap.
