• It's ROGUE and GAMBIT vs. LAVISH for all the marbles (nobody cares about marbles anymore, but it's still a great saying, just go with it)!
• The stakes in Paraíso couldn't be higher - the fates of innocent mutants, Rogue and Gambit, AND the hottest relationship in the Marvel Universe - all hang in the balance!
• Does being together make Rogue & Gambit unstoppable? Or does it doom their mission and everyone they're trying to save?
• When the dust settles WHO and WHAT will be left standing?
Rated T+
Rogue & Gambit is Marvel at its best. This mini-series simply has it all " superhero action, funny banter, and at its heart, a couple who've been through hell together and are still committed to giving their relationship another shot. Read Full Review
Some might find the ending a bit saccharine, but as a celebration of these two and all they've been through? It strikes the perfect final chord. Read Full Review
What can I say if you are a fan of these two characters then you should read this mini-series. It's so well written and shows just how much Thompson loves these characters. Every issue had me excitedly waiting for the next to come out. It's an amazing read for any and all comic book fans. Read Full Review
Rogue & Gambit #5 delivered a fun ending to Kelly Thompson's mini-series featuring one of the X-Men's premiere couples. Thompson delivered all the fun moments that fans expect from seeing Rogue and Gambit together. By the end you'll feel Rogue and Gambit grew stronger as a couple and individuals. Pere Perez elevated Thompson's story by delivering a lot of great artwork, especially for the big nostalgic moments. If you are an X-Men fan I highly recommend picking up Rogue & Gambit comes out on hardcover or trade paperback. Read Full Review
Given the success of this creative team, it's ultimately disappointing they won't be able carry on developing Rogue & Gambit further. Read Full Review
They learned more about themselves, more about each other, and taught other mutants to appreciate their powers. That it is part of who they are. Rogue and Gambit saved the day in many ways. And their relationship. It's been a case of "met the right person at the wrong time," but their timing will never be perfect, their lives will never be perfect, it is better to just live in the moment with the person you've always been in love with. This is an adorable way to end the series, but I think it is also awesome that we don't actually know what happened to Lavish, she could make a good villain later on with the rest of the mutant. Kelly Thompson carried this series very well and kept you coming back for more. The art and color was beautiful and never sloppy. Sad to see it end! Read Full Review
Though ROGUE & GAMBIT #5 is not the series' best, it wraps up a delightful, light-hearted series that brings two X-Men favorites back together. Read Full Review
Final perfeito, simples assim
Rogue and Gambit close down their story with a thoroughly satisfying victory. It clarifies and evolves the two heroes' relationship and also leaves Lavish on the table as a tremendously promising future antagonist. Perfect pace, wonderful character work, and gorgeous art come together to make this an essentially flawless execution of a strong, simple premise.
one of the best limited series from Marvel Comics
This was a wonderful conclusion to a great miniseries with two of my favorite X-Men characters. I love the way their dynamic and history was handled and explored here. Kelly Thompson totally nailed it. It was so much fun and a total blast to read. Brought back so many memories for me from my childhood reading the comics and watching the 90's cartoon. The art by Pere Perez was simply incredible and I love how it was used during flashbacks...it was perfect. I'll definitely be picking up the trade paperback for sure
