The low rating is mainly for the ending. I was counting on a more emotional and memorable climax to this story, like in The Killing Joke. Blood drinking... really? I have a strong feeling the editorial team had had their hand in this... Not only did this ending feels extremly out of place, but also, I thought Morrison's run had already established the Joker's blood is deadly poisonous? Come on, th more

Another issue where nothing happens. Batman gathers the Bat Family together and says I will take down the Joker. Harley says she'll kill him and chaos still reigns. We see the Joker take a ride in his Joker limo and go to Ace chemicals and kill all his henchmen.

What little happens is of the tell, not show variety. That's bad writing. We see the villains go to the hq of the Planner or t more

James Tynion doesn't understand the character of the Joker one bit. On the previous issue, when he recalled C.J. Henderson, I got my hopes up a little and I thought maybe it would make a decent Joker story in the end, but in this issue, Tynion disappointed me sharply (once again). His Joker is grim and no fun at all. He's using the army of the living dead against Batman, where's the humor in that? more

Ugh, you know, I'm past my days of schoolgirl crushes and young adult romances. I don't like it. I don't really need a 45 year old woman telling a story about a bunch of milquetoast characters as the bland, easily replaced female lead finds love in the unlikeliest of places. And I know the writer is a man, but I don't see gender here. I just see what's on the page and what is on the page is a tire more

Gazing too long into this abyss has allowed us to notice that Harley Quinn is actually kind of stupid? And also technically a rapist. So this is great.

Well, thank god this mob boss does something a mob boss would never do in order for Harley to be driven to love Joker. I don't like this story, I won't lie. Nothing about the Joker is alluring, and his manipulation would only work on a pre-teen that's already hot for his... gangly Tom Hiddleston-ness. There's too much Twilight infusion in this for my tastes. I think it makes Harley look like an in more
