That's a very complicated subject. On one hand, economically speaking, EU has been highly beneficial to Europe. I'm from a country that benefited from integration with the EU. Politically speaking, that's a whole other subject and I have A LOT to complain regarding that. If you ask me, EU is going in a wrong direction with major steps and unless something drastic changes, its future doesn't sound good.

What you're probably referring to is that some countries, like Italy, adopted the euro and that screwed them up big time. I agree with that, in my opinion if the EU wouldn't have adopted this economic recovery plan Italy would've followed UK out, they're one foot in the door anyway. There is a discrepancy between North and South and between West and East and the problem is that countries like Germany and France like it that way and don't want to change that because they benefit from immigration.

Yes, the currency exchange, but that was not all, raising countries including mine, Greece was a very strong burden and the idea of specializing a country in a product was a madness of so many, that is why Reino Unido said goodbye to us. Only benefit a little, but hey now with the covid all this is madness, we advance two steps and go back three.

I agree that we SHOULD welcome people coming from warzones, that's a sensible thing to do. But: a) a lot of the people that came through were just economic migrants and there's virtually no reason to welcome those if it screws up the people in your country

and b) when you come to a country that country doesn't have to adapt to your "values" (especially when those "values" are pretty shitty and involve treating women, Jews or LGBT people like crap), YOU have to be thankful that country adopted you and have to try your best to adapt. Instead, we've had terrorist attacks, mass rapes, street fighting and separatist communities that couldn't give a crap about the laws of the country they're in. But no, European politicians pretend that doesn't happen.

I believe that we are all citizens of the world, but no one can return home to disrespect it and want to impose their way of life. Fuck, the people kneeling on the street blocking pedestrians just to pray and never missing the annoying group that doesn't know where Mecca is . They want to pray, that they do it in their homes, in a building designed for that purpose or in a park, not on public roads. I think they are wanting to annoy and worst, the abnormal progress supporting such attitude.

Either way the future of Europe is in trouble if something drastic doesn't happen, the course of things right now doesn't go in a good direction. And extremist parties are gaining foothold on both extremes, left and right. I though the world would learn something from the pandemic but if anything it all got worse or at best, this stuff is ignored by politicians. I hope eventually cooler heads will prevail but I would be foolish to say that I really believe that.

unified governments are useless: the throne world, spartax, the shi ar empire, etc. I mean, I understand that in real life unified governments do not work, but in the comics, they clearly do work.
