I think we can all see where this is going.

Crazy crazy ending.

I didn't like the writing in it but the story was interesting kinda.

I don't know why they have powers or what the actual plot is? Does this guy have schizophrenia or what

The series of the century.

What word is she trying to think of when she says “a doodad?”

I like that they’re showing how weird everyone in the town really is behind closed doors.

I wanna know who the dad was in this situation, the elephant or the pig.

If she has to kill the love of her life, I’m gonna kill myself.

Mom better not have a redemption arc.

Very nice concept. Does anyone know what period this takes place?

That bitch is getting what she deserves.

It truly is love that kills.

I need this type of love.

Nice story, but I wish they expanded on the ending more.

It has good writing, but it's kind of interesting that they introduce quite a few characters and didn't do much with them.

Of course they made the Karen a blonde, fat pig.

This is so sick and twisted…SICK AND TWISTED. This is my favorite #1 I’ve read since Beneath the Trees.

This took so long to get to the point and it felt like they word-vomited. However, I’ll still try the next issue.

This was good, but there wasn’t much story progression.

Don't like that they kinda just gave us a page of something happening without explaining what happened. I felt like there was too much inference.

Antarctica #1, unfortunately, was not as eye-catching or as interesting as I had hoped it would be.

I wanna be in Patrick Horvath's brain when he thought of this concept (Why the FUCK are some animals "people" and other ones just "animals?").

Interesting plot, though it was slow to grab my attention.

I wanna give Elena a big, fat kiss on the lips for her work. *muah*

It's very nice to see Scar's rise to power with the hyenas in this prequel.

The Hyena Queen had me shittin' bricks.

I liked how this tied the miniseries together while also leading into the events of the first Lion King movie.

Very nice story. I wish they would tell us more about the Finder, but he did lose his memory.

Fishflies (2023) #1 Dec 12, 2023

This story scratched my brain in the right way.

I like that the god stories Panya was being told in the beginning are starting to happen in real life, despite her mom saying that they were fiction.

Purr Evil #! is an interesting experience to say the least. The story is great, however, I do wish they went into more details about the main characters' previous lifestyles. I also hope the two lovebirds get a happy ending.

Scarlet Witch (2023) #7 Dec 12, 2023

Loki's the one guy who I'd get down on my knees and worship.

I wish I knew more about Magneto and his history with Wanda to understand this weird trauma she's going through with seeing Joseph. *womp womp*

Alexander Hamilton must have wrote this because there are too many damn words for any man to understand. *insert Price is Right losing horn*

Interesting story, but it was kind of all over the place at times.

You're laughing. He just watched his crush get murdered and you're laughing?

It's good, but it's definitely written for younger audiences.

Wesley Dodds: The Sandman (2023) #1 Dec 12, 2023

A very, very interesting concept about protest and truth-seeking. I cannot wait for more background about these characters.

I like this story so far, but Darcy killing someone seems so out of character to me.

Artist change is not it- literally Wanda from wish

I'd personally like to give the artist a kiss on the mouth for her amazing work.

Scarlet Witch #3 was a very interesting issue, to say the least. The story was a nice change in pace but the narration change to the second person lost my attention and made the issue somewhat harder to follow. The new environment in the “nano” world was interesting and the art in this issue did not disappoint. Sara Pinchellli continues to kill it with each panel we see. I just wish we were given more dialogue between the characters and didn’t slow down so quickly.

Scarlet Witch #1 by Steve Orlando is a captivating comic book that delivers an engaging storyline, strong character development, and stunning artwork. The writing is solid, with Orlando's dialogue being well-crafted, conveying the emotional depth of the story without being overly dramatic or forced. The artwork by Sara Pichelli is exceptional, the illustrations effectively capture the mood and atmosphere of the story, immersing readers in Wanda's world and the challenges she faces. Overall, Scarlet Witch #1 is a fantastic start to a promising series, offering a fresh perspective on a beloved character and setting the stage for exciting future developments. It is highly recommended for fans of the Scarlet Witch, as well as anyone looking for a well-written and beautifully illustrated comic book.

Scarlet Witch #2 by Steve Orlando is a worthy follow-up to the first issue, continuing Wanda's journey in helping others when they have been met with their lowest emotions. I do enjoy the Darcy and Wanda pairing, and the mystery as to why Darcy ended up walking through the red door in the first place. This issue focuses heavily on grief, as the Scarlet Witch helps Viv Vision get rid of her nightmares involving her dead mother. The story does a fantastic job of portraying the emotions felt by Wana in her battle with DreamQueen. The works of Sara Pichelli and Chris Allen once again did not disappoint and I look forward to seeing what more they do with Wanda's story and design.
