Terrorbytes #8 is a standout issue in the series. It features strong social commentary on contemporary issues with traces of AI and technology mixed in. Mad Cave Studios needs to be given more credit for publishing this smartly written title.

Terrorbytes #10 examines the consequences of trying to live a different life. While the tech in this issue is completely fictional, the idea of wanting to escape reality is not.

Terrorbytes Halloween Annual #1 offers readers a variety of terrifying tech-related stories and visually appealing art styles. If you haven’t read the first ten issues of this series, check out this annual, as it is self-contained and gives a good sample of the type of story the series offers.

The Fury of Firestorm #1 kicks off an exciting six-issue series with plenty of element-transforming goodness. This version of Firestorm is wild and deadly, but excessively intriguing. This DC Next Level title is not one to miss!

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #3 brings us past the halfway point in the series. Any fan of the Man of Steel should have this on their reading list.

Superman Unlimited #17 is a fast-paced issue that puts Superman’s golden powers at the forefront in a race to save the world. As we near the end of the “Kingdom of Zod” event, there’s only one obstacle remaining and that’s Zod himself (or at least a younger version of him).

Star Trek Deviations: Threads of Destiny #1 is a one-shot that highlights the importance of racial equality, but could stand to be a longer book. Despite its length, it’s well worth a read.

Flash Gordon #0 is a basic science fiction tale that is easily accessible to new readers. While the overall story and art are nothing revolutionary, they give readers an entertaining tale.
