You know what they say-some of them are gonna love you, and some of them are gonna hate you-but it doesn't matter as long as they need you. Black Mask wants to be the dirty little secret of the Gotham underworld, but Catwoman's even better at being a secret when she needs to be. Thankfully she's not afraid to have a little help-from Valmont, Onyx, and the newly minted Tomcat...exactly the kind of guy to let her in the house.

Gotham continues to be a place that is odd to predict. The Mob and Black MaskTo Valmont (not sure how I feel about this guy given that Selina has memorized his scent) What is Selina's end game? Is it back to the Bat or is wanting to increase her distance away from Bruce? Read Full Review

Tini Howard and Nico Leon have done impressive work with the start of their run on Catwoman. These four issues are a perfect glimpse into Catwoman and what makes the anti-heroine tick. If you're interested in the character but find her comic history jarring, start here! You won't be disappointed. Read Full Review

‘Catwoman' is such an intriguing series full of great character depth/development with stunningly gorgeous artwork and a storyline that has brought new life to a portion of Gotham City and those that reside there. With this issue, the series continues its year and a half long streak of being one of the best books being published by DC Comics and one of the best comic books on the shelves period. Watching a well-choreographed revenge plot play out is a thing of beauty. It's easy to forget that in some ways, Selina is the closest thing the DCU has to a Black Widow-like superspy. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Apr 20, 2022

And now that things are firmly established for Selina in Gotham City... she's going to leave town with Harley. A road trip. It's kind of a bold move for Howard to suddenly jar things in a different direction, but it DOES help keep things fresh in what will hopefully be a long relationship between Howard and Kyle. Howard has a very entertaining take on the character subtly different from anyone else who has worked on the series in the past three years. It'll be interesting to see where she takes Selina and Harley in the near future. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Michael Escalante Apr 19, 2022

Catwoman #42 is a good ending to a promising opening arc for Tini Howard and Nico Leon's run. Veronica Gandini's colors are also exquisite, leaving behind a great looking book. The overall narrative has its problems with questionable character motivations, but the stakes thankfully remain high the whole way through. With a solid foundation set, I have high hopes that Howard and Leon's next arc will be even better. Read Full Review
