Old friends return as Wally finds that he’s on the wrong side of the law and a fugitive from justice! Wally must uncover the truth about the mayor, all while trying to outrun the Rogues who are attempting to track him down.
The Flash #789 is a brilliant reinvigoration of the series. The last two issues, bringing the Rogues back and using previous events to move the story around, have given the story a new purpose and a heap of excitement. The supporting cast is growing further with brand new plot threads that will forever change Wally West and his family. It is constantly moving and always filled with energy. And with hints of something massive on the horizon, my confidence in the series remains high. Read Full Review

Overall, Flash #789 is a fun conclusion to a filler arc that helps reinforce the new status quo of Wally and his family. The art is fantastic and helps bring a lot of dynamic fun to the action. Read Full Review
Adams has found this pitch perfect formula that can harken back to the past of the Flash while also carving out an interesting future, and I hope that Wally and his clan continue helming the book as the Flash continues to outrun any potential mediocrity. Read Full Review
Overall, this issue doesnt change my recommendation for the series, its still one of the best titles at DC Comics right now. Nevertheless, everyone has a down issue here and there, especially with Adams wrapping things up right before the One-Minute War. I just wish this story with the Rogues was a bit more and less of a tease since we finally got the band back together. Readers, Adams is still taking the Flash in the right direction so there is no need to worry. However, the Flash #789 steps outside its normal comfort zone towards the end and possibly trips on its own fit a bit as the issue comes to an end. Read Full Review
Flash #789 ends the arc with a big reveal about Mayor Wolfe that should be a big threat to the entire world. Wally handles the threat well enough, but the light, mellow tone deflates any sense of danger, urgency, or stakes. It's a good ending, just not a great one. Read Full Review
Really good stuff. Fun action. Nice wrap up to this arc.
Not sure how I feel about Wolfe being an avatar for the Lords of Order, but everything else here was pretty well-done. The conversations Wally has with Hartley in the beginning of the issue and with Wolfe following that one were very enjoyable. Although there was a little left to be desired for me, everything still came together here to provide an entertaining ending to this arc.
Jeremy Adams man, this gets Wally West. Easily one of the best serialized stories I have had the pleasure of accompanying in a long time.
Still fun but the final out-of-left field twist doesn't sit well with me. A plot like that could have been pretty epic but Adams keep it too small scaled for me. It feels like he just rushed through an entire arc in two issues.
