It's been a wild time for Wally West and Linda Park-West: their children are regaining their powers, Wally is bouncing between realms, and Linda is dealing with a mysterious power surge! Now, as Linda begins doing research for her upcoming book, Wally comes along for some quality time, and the couple end up on an adventure neither expected!
The Flash 2022 Annual is a lot of fun, celebrating trashy romance novels while informing the reader on crucial details about Linda we didn't know. Add in a whopper of a cliffhanger that'll change Wally and Linda's life at the end, and you have yourself a must-buy for super fans of Flash. Read Full Review

THE FLASH 2022 ANNUAL #1 is a hard comic to review. Yet I think the best summary is this: do you want to read about THE FLASH or do you want a good story? Because if you want a great story, it's certainly there this week. But it's not really about the FLASH. If you're ok with that, THE FLASH 2022 ANNUAL #1 is totally for you. And, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Read Full Review
The Flash 2022 Annual #1 is a love story full of warmth. A novel plot concept that uses another story as a way of bringing the best out of the main characters. Lindas book may lack proper stakes, but it carries those same themes of love and fun that this run of the Flash thrives off. This is a comic that isnt afraid to delve deep into romance as Adams really encapsulates the happiness of this pairing. In a dark world, that light is always welcome. Read Full Review
While I still enjoyed this issue, the majority of the book that featured what Linda Park's novel is all about left me wishing that we could just have the West Family doing things because whenever this Annual just featured Linda and Wally...... Well, it knocked it out of the park. The art is great throughout, I just wish that we got more of our hero and his newly super-powered wife. Read Full Review
Adams teases another major development for Wally at the end of the issue, which could be very interesting if it comes to fruition. This isn't a must-grab to keep up with the major Flash storylines, but it's a nice side story from a writer who clearly enjoys these characters. Read Full Review

*Googling definition of wholesome*: FLASH ANNUAL: 2022
Highly entertaining. The ending is funny. If you don’t smile reading this you might be a Grinch.
It's completely understandable why some people may not like this, but I really enjoyed it. This was basically Linda's fan-fiction/self-insert story, but it was fun and heartfelt as well. Plus, the last few pages with her and Wally were done very well, in my opinion. Along with the entertaining story, Acuña's art is fantastic here and it makes me wish he was doing interiors on this series permanently. Marvel, DC, or both need to get him on a monthly series ASAP.
CLIFFHANGER
Not a must read, but charmingly goofy and yet another reminder of why everyone is so glad that the West family is back.
I'm not into the hockey romance stuff. I know it's intentional and I know it's supposed to be a little goofy. Linda writing a self insert really... I don't know, it bothers me. Like, I want to believe she's a good writer and isn't just a hack? But this is saying she's a hack.
Enjoyed parts, but not really a necessary issue besides the “cliffhanger”
