"SINESTRO'S LAW" part six! It's an all-out assault on Warworld, but Hal Jordan is alone and outgunned facing off against the full force of the Sinestro Corps.
This issue of Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps is a great example of what makes this book amazing. Great character work from Venditti, and Sandoval's pencils work great together. Both creators are channeling what made readers fall in love with not only Hal Jordan, but the rest of the Green Lantern mythos as well. This is the Green Lantern book that everyone should be reading. Hal Jordan and the GLC hasn't dropped the ball since its kickoff and this issue was another reminder why it's one of the best of the Rebirth era. Read Full Review
Last issue was more than a little rough, but getting back to the aspects of the story we enjoyed and Rafa Sandoval being back on the job put this book back on track as one of DC's strongest. Read Full Review
This is the Sinestro Corps War with just a hint of Star Wars thrown in for fun, and thankfully Rafa Sandoval is on-hand to capture the epic space battles beautifully. Read Full Review
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #6 is an action filled issue that sets the stage for a major throwdown between Hal Jordan and Sinestro. As the penultimate chapter in Robert Venditti's first arc on this new series it positions the characters right where they need to be, and as a setup issue it doesn't appear quite as well balanced as the series has been so far. Given that this issue is still a lot of fun to read and Rafa Sandoval's visuals make it very easy on the eyes. Eight out of ten lanterns. Read Full Review
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps continues to be one wild epic. If you've been crying foul due to a lack of action strap in, because action is what you get in this issue! Read Full Review
With the tension at 11 this issue did its job in getting us to the one-on-one confrontation between Hal and Sinestro next issue. You'll be coming back for more, but how many more “final showdowns” between Hal and Sinestro can there be? With no chance at detente between the two, at some point there will have to be a final resolution, maybe this is that story…. Read Full Review
Overall this issue is a step down from the previous two, but the fact that we are so close to the final confrontation between Hal and the Green Lantern Corp and Sinestro and his fear lanterns makes it all the worthwhile. Read Full Review
Are you ready for some Green Lantern Corps action??? Well, keep waiting. This issue reads like a placeholder, for some reason, despite being issue #6 and therefore the conclusion of a swell trade paperback. So people that get the trade collection of this won't even get a complete story? Great. This seems really well thought out. Read Full Review
This issue is one of my favorite of the series! We get Hal showing all he's got and the action scenes are beautifully drawn. I hope that the showdown between the protagonist and the antagonist will be really interesting!
Another solid issue. However, at times it feels like it's "treading water" to get us to next issue's confrontation between Hal & Sinestro.
Fantastic run by Venditti, with this issue establishing what will a full blown battle in the next issue. Hal, Guy, John, and hopefully Kyle, are all about to attack Sinestro's Corp, and only excitement can come from it.
Jacked up Hal vs jacked up Sinestro, hell yeah!
