This issue of Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps is a great example of what makes this book amazing. Great character work from Venditti, and Sandoval's pencils work great together. Both creators are channeling what made readers fall in love with not only Hal Jordan, but the rest of the Green Lantern mythos as well. This is the Green Lantern book that everyone should be reading. This is the Sinestro Corps War with just a hint of Star Wars thrown in for fun, and thankfully Rafa Sandoval is on-hand to capture the epic space battles beautifully. Read Full Review

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #6 is an action filled issue that sets the stage for a major throwdown between Hal Jordan and Sinestro.  As the penultimate chapter in Robert Venditti's first arc on this new series it positions the characters right where they need to be, and as a setup issue it doesn't appear quite as well balanced as the series has been so far.  Given that this issue is still a lot of fun to read and Rafa Sandoval's visuals make it very easy on the eyes.  Eight out of ten lanterns. With the tension at 11 this issue did its job in getting us to the one-on-one confrontation between Hal and Sinestro next issue. You'll be coming back for more, but how many more “final showdowns” between Hal and Sinestro can there be? With no chance at detente between the two, at some point there will have to be a final resolution, maybe this is that story…. Read Full Review

Overall this issue is a step down from the previous two, but the fact that we are so close to the final confrontation between Hal and the Green Lantern Corp and Sinestro and his fear lanterns makes it all the worthwhile. Read Full Review

Are you ready for some Green Lantern Corps action??? Well, keep waiting. This issue reads like a placeholder, for some reason, despite being issue #6 and therefore the conclusion of a swell trade paperback. So people that get the trade collection of this won't even get a complete story? Great. This seems really well thought out. Read Full Review
