SINESTROS LAW part seven! Sinestros Law concludes as Hal Jordan and Sinestro come to blows for control over the universe. With his back against the wall, will Hals friends show up in time to tip the scales in his favor?
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #7 is a thrilling and ballsy conclusion to the first arc of the series. The creative team lets loose and shows readers what a Green Lantern comic can and should be. Unrivaled will and bravery take on boundless fear in a showdown that's rewarding both fans old and new alike. Ten out of ten lanterns. Read Full Review
Explosive, exciting, and well worth a look. Venditti is putting on a memorable Green Lantern story we won't soon forget. Read Full Review
In my opinion, this will go down as one of the classic Corps stories of all time. It takes Hal and Sinestro to the edges of their interaction, and I loved it! I imagine Mr. Venditti and company already have more surprises in store for us readers, so I can't wait! Read Full Review
Best of all, while this arc has generally relied on hitting the familiar (if effective) Green Lantern tropes, the ending promises a far more unpredictable future for Hal and his Corps. Read Full Review
To conclude, HAL JORDAN AND THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS #7 is a satisfying end to the story arc. All of the storylines within the serieswere promised to merge at some point and they all do so in one way or another in the issue. The story arc itself has been phenomenal and mightbe the best one from Venditti in his tenure as a writer on a Green Lantern series. There are a lot of questions following the end of this issue for the Green Lantern Corps. As the series continues with new story arcs and adventures I hope these are all answered, but until then we'll just have to keep reading! Read Full Review
Rafa Sandoval's pencils are reliably consistent, but for such a major chapter in the title it would have been nice to have Ethan Van Sciver handling the art responsibilities. That's like complaining the $1,000 bill I found on the street wasn't crisp enough. The cliffhanger definitely makes the next issue intriguing. This has been a title that hasn't let up yet. I'm looking forward to seeing how the fallout of Sinestro's Law impacts everyone. Read Full Review
Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps #7 was an explosive way to end your first arc. Venditti has tapped into what made people fall in love with Green Lantern in the first place, Hal's heroics and epic action that isn't seen anywhere else. Read Full Review
It seems unlikely that Hal or Sinestro will perish in this story, but perhaps this could be a victory for Hal in which Sinestro is beaten and loses his will to fight again. Venditti has me “all in” for whatever the outcome. Read Full Review
The conclusion to Robert Venditti’s first arc of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps is probably the strongest issue yet. It builds upon the history of the entire Green Lantern franchise to bring the series to new and uncharted territories. Anchored by stellar artwork and colors by Rafa Sandoval and Tomeu Morey, this issue a pleasure to see as well as read. While there is now telling where this series will go after the game-changing finale, one this is certain. If Venditti continues to drive the series to new and exciting places, then it will certainly be one that you will want to pick up. Read Full Review
Robert Venditti continues to show that he has a firm grasp on the Green Lantern franchise and the cosmic side of the DCU. Even as the ending stumbles a bit Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #7 does a great job closing the door on 'Sinestro Law' while setting the stage for several potential story arcs. Hal Jordan and Sinestro final battle more than lived up to expectations as both sides got to show why they are the alpha males of their respective Corps. But now with both characters out of action there are a lot of exciting possibilities for this series to take hold off. If you are into sci-fi stories I highly recommend picking up Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps series. Read Full Review
The end of the opening arc raises several questions. What happens to Soranik and the rest of Sinestro's Corps? What actually happened to both Jordan and Sinestro? And how does the Green Lantern Corps move forward from here? Worth a look. Read Full Review
The culmination of this opening story arc reads just like every other issue. Great art, disappointing story, no payoff. Entire arc should have been three issues as most. If not for the superior artwork, I'd consider this book a total rip-off. As it is, I'd say you can afford to avoid it and luxuriate in the bi-weekly preview pages. Read Full Review
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp has turned out to be one of my favorite comics of Rebirth, with this issue displaying how awesome Hal and Sinestro are in terms of power. The embodiments of will vs fear has this issue being very action oriented and filled with color.
Epic showdown between Hal and Sinestro, with some other thoughtful developments in the evil fear torture chamber thing.
This first arc surprised me quite a lot and showed me once again why Hal is the my favorite super-hero. The whole battle is incredible and there are some impressive scenes, but Sinestro's voice sometimes sounds improper. The last pages of Hal and Sinestro's conflict are rather surprising and also exhibit the might of the protagonist. I'm looking forward to the next arc, which seems great, with the return of some classic characters. One of the most positive aspects of the entire series is the art: clear, detailed and colorful. This series is one of my favorite from the Rebirth relaunch.
Hal & Sinestro slugfest. Not bad, not great. A decent ending to an arc that felt two issues too long. I'm ready for a new arc.
This book is okay. Don't love it, don't hate it. I hope it gets better.
