Visaggio, Melnikov, and Guerrero find a strikingly unique appeal to a relatively new character. The issue feels a lot like a pilot episode of a whole new series. Ginny and Lady Bird are great fun to follow in a one-shot that makes a very strong case for further adventures. We get to learn more about this new edition to the DCU while writer Magdalena Vissagioand artistGleb Melnikov also do well in setting up all the key pieces of Jinny's backstory should we ever get a follow on series. The artwork in this issue is simply gorgeous. Everything has a real, genuine western feel about it; cowboys, cowgirls, even saloons and flintlocks. Aside from the very obvious space and alien artefacts, it feels like an old timey cowboy story. I loved it. Read Full Review

This special issue was a fun romp featuring a great new edition to the DC Universe. Who knows if she will become a regular anywhere any time soon, but it was great to spend time with, what I consider, one of the real bright spots of Young Justice. This was alright. Some of the dialogue was rough, but overall, this read fine. Not sure that I'd want more but as is, this is the most Jinny Hex has felt like an actual character since her inception.

When I first saw this book came out I was very excited as Jinny is one of the new characters from DC I’ve liked a lot after reading issue 1 of Young Justice. However , this book goes totally off the rails by its end with a poor solution to its villain. This book is very pretty though and the colors were lovely.

So they took a Jonah Hex story and subbed in a female descendent. Meh, art was ok but if you're going to tell an Jonah Hex story just use the character that people really want to read about. This book didn't cut it.
