In case you can't tell, I really liked this issue, a delicious brew of character growth and action with a dash of pathos on the side. The art was stellar. Williamson and crew are crushing it. And X-El as the name for Bizarro Lex!  Read Full Review

The latest chapter of Luthor vs. Superman comes with grave consequences in this magnificent chapter. Williamson pulls out all the stops with the writing. The art teams gives the battle a deeper impact through the stunning imagery. This issue lives up to the billing of a milestone & fans win out when they puck this up! Read Full Review

That's a tiny flaw, mind you, and depending on proper context in future issues could end up making more sense. Even if it doesn't, it's a small complaint regarding a book that is simply fantastic through and through, and I don't see Superman's stellar run coming to an end anytime soon. Read Full Review

Superman #25 follows up last issue with a deadly confrontation between Superman, Superwoman, and the newly awakened X-El. The artwork from the multiple artists is great, the colors also really elevate this comic, and the action is solid. As a milestone issue, it felt like the comic tried to cram in some things than it really needed, but this doesnt derail the comic. With the conclusion resolving the fight with X-El, the ending shows theres still plenty more to come in future issues. Read Full Review

My vote for best three panels in this issue are: "You are not Lex Luthor", "But I am" and then the panel that follows. X-El was an excellent foil to the current state of Lex and really moved things forward. Lois blasting X-El with all her powers and the cost of that. Well I look forward to how this plays out. All three artists in this issue were great. Also as a side note. This is exactly how a Milestone issue should be. This had all-star artists, and a one-shot battle plot that actually has several long-term consequences going forward. This is how you do it. Williamson is on fire with this run. I will be collecting this in an omnibus when it comes out (assuming DC doesnt botch what issues are in it or does something else really more

Barrows strikes again, well until they give Mora the last few pages for the X-El fight but thats not a good reason to deduct any points because that's like 5% of the ish. This was great stuff and delivered another great twist accidental or planned is for you to decide. But after X-El gets lamely girl bossed by Superwoman for threatening her family the best part happens with the real Lex. When X-El was weak and on the ground he was yelling at the real Lex for being weak. And like a badass the real Lex blows X-els head off and ends it all right there. Superman freaks out about of course and so does every one else except Mercy. Mercy says to herself "Welcome back Lex" ¤ï¸ Lex and Mercy really stole the show last ish and this ish bravo more

This is a near-perfect issue. The art is amazing. The double-page spreads are great. I'm still not a fan of Lois having powers because it makes Kara obsolete. I love the bad lex, and apparently so does Mercy. She reminds me of Black Cat, where she only likes one version of Peter. Of course, the end is insignificant. She just needs a recharge. I am looking forward to Zod finally arriving. Let's hope it happens soon. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/HVFBd98HtzY

A tremendous payoff to two years worth of fantastic storytelling by Josh Williamson that doesn't disappoint even in the slightest. Everything that happens in this action-packed story is 100% earned. I'm a bit confused by Superman's reaction at the end to something Lex does, but I suspect there's a reason for it that will make itself known in the coming months. Williamson is the best Superman writer in a decade or two!
