Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel left Val and readers hanging big time at the end of Nocterra #5. Thankfully, Nocterra #6 picks up right where last issue left off, leading to some major moments. Nocterra #6 ends the first arc pretty well. Overall, this is a fascinating book, and while Snyder nailed the finish, it feels like he got a little fancy in a few places. The ending still works; its just a tad overwrought. Daniels art works pretty well throughout, but its also not as good as previous issues. Theres nothing wrong with the comic- its still terrific, and as an ending, it works. Itll be interesting to see where Snyder and Daniel go with this book, but its a ride everyone should take. Nocterra #6 marks the end of the series' first story arc, blending notes of horror and hope along the way while setting up future stories. With Snyder set to expand his collection of creator-owned titles under his Best Jackett Press label, I look forward to all of his projects as well as future installments of Nocterra. Nocterra is tracing a number of familiar themes and motifs from Snyder's recent work, and it does so better than seemingly any series so far, only stumbling in Nocterra #6 as it prepares to drive the long haul ahead. I'm still anticipating that journey a great deal. Read Full Review

I really love how this series “ended”. It felt poetic and hopeful in a scary place full of very little of either of those things.

I love everything about this comic!

Its good, bring on 7 in a few months.
