Nick Spencer is doing something wonderful in these .HU issues. The moving delves into the individual characters, in turn, fosters emotional investment in them during the main story. Not to be outdone by his work on Gibbon (Madame Web rest his soul) Lizard's fascinatingly tragic history is woven into his mission through inner monologue masterfully. Unlike many villains who embrace their lifestyle through justification, malice or denial Lizard is truly racked with guilt, self-loathing and dedication to redemption. Read Full Review
Chris Bachalo delivers amazing art in this issue. All of the visuals look great and his rendition of Lizard is one of my favorites because it is more animal than man. Read Full Review
The Amazing Spider-Man #19.HU is an essential read for fans of The Lizard. Read Full Review
The Lizard proves why he's one of Spider-Man's most revered foes in this character-driven one-off, and honestly, proves too that he's a character worthy of considering for a prime-time shot at leading his own book. Don't miss this one! Read Full Review
Focusing on Lizard's love for his son, this is a classic father-and-son tale full of heart. Read Full Review
While I have plenty of sympathy for his son, Billy, I can't stir up any for Curt. If the Lizard is one of the characters that meets his end in this 'Hunted' story arc, I doubt many would be distraught. Read Full Review
A really good Lizard story. I think Bachalo's art may have been misplaced, but I don't mind it so I'm not going to complain too much.
These .HU issues are strangely better than the actual main story.
omg it’s so pure that Black Ant is Taskmaster’s best pal. <3
I've enjoyed all the tie-in stories in Hunted, but this one seems to have the potential for the largest impact on the main storyline.
Love the .HU tie ins with the main story arc. However, not a big fan of Bachalo's art.
Decent story with some great Bachalo's art, I'm loving these Hunted tie-in issues.
I hate Bachalos art. I loved him on Wolverine and the Xmen but haven’t liked him on anything since. Including this.
It's fine enough. This is the story as to how Taskmaster got the Lizard into the hunt. It wasn't anything too fancy and it wasn't anything too bad either. It was an average issue. The art was fine but appeared to be more cartoonish in nature. So, was the issue necessary?
Ultimately, the issue was not needed and unnecessary to experience ”the Hunted” series. If you're a Lizard fan, the issue is for you. Otherwise, is skip it and save your money.
