Champions #4 brings fun to the event in a beautiful issue. The darkness of the issues needs positivity as a palette cleanser as it accentuates both emotions. If that claustrophobia and darkness continued, the reader might have found themselves drowning in it. A team up in the middle of the event connects the crossover to the rest of the Marvel Universe while also serving a purpose within the story. But the event isnt over, and there are still those who need their Champions to save them. Read Full Review
Champions#4 features strong writing across the board, from the X-Men to the Champions themselves. Bob Quinn's pencils get the job done quite nicely while Ewing continues to prove just how well she knows these characters. Read Full Review
What might be the most important thing about Champions #4 is that this team is once again portrayed as a collection of heroes worth rooting for. They (like their comic) are not perfect, but it is wholesome and heartwarming to watch them strive to be better. I wouldn't put Champions at the top of the quality heap -- but I would count no minute wasted that was spent reading this title. Read Full Review
Champions #4 is full of tense moments, vital characters development, and so much more. The bold artwork helps to increase the impact of this plot, which is already fairly intense. Read Full Review
I really enjoy how Ewing incorporates the X-Men into helping these on-the-run teen heroes. Its really important to show that Scott still remembers how much he cares about his old friends and is willing to do anything he can to protect them from harm. In these memorable interactions, we get to see Kamala, Riri, Miles, and Sam learning that it is absolutely okay to make mistakes. We even get a sweet scene of Viv learning the same from a different perspective. This creative team does a great job in keeping you engaged as these fearless heroes find themselves on the run. Ewing does an exceptional job building these teen heroes, and I cant wait to see them continue to live up to their potential. Read Full Review
"Champions" #4 is a fun, easy to read comic and a fairly unremarkable one Read Full Review
It's an issue much better than the pseudo-crossover that it's tying into, and one that delves a bit into the various Champions, including Cyclops. That said, 'Outlawed' can't end too soon. Read Full Review
"Outlawed" still feels more like an albatross than a boon for the series, and I look forward to seeing the creative team have a chance to dive into a new arc. Read Full Review
A quick team-up with the Marauders does wonders for the Champions (particularly Ms. Marvel), inspiring them to head back home and face the CRADLE music … somehow. A fun dialogue-driven plot, solid art, and excellent characterization make this an excellent (albeit not quite great) read. I especially like how Cyclops's motivation here dovetails with his decision to re-form the X-Men (the team) over in X-Men (the series).
It was fine. I’ve been enjoying this series overall, but this issue wasn’t a highlight. The dialog and artwork were great, as always. The plot felt pretty thin here, however. It seemed propped up by guest appearances that ultimately didn’t mean much, and a moment with Viv that felt kinda unearned. If I had felt this way about the first issue, the series probably wouldn’t have made my pull list. As is, I’m hoping it’s a fluke.

Not the best issue, but it was fine.
That sure had some sort of pace. The stuff with Viv was interesting though.
