Once, Black Bolt's voice could shatter planets. Now, it cannot even break down the walls that hold him. The Midnight King is naught but a wounded prisoner - and his family but lambs to the slaughter. They will plea for help from a distant ally. It will not save them.

Death of the Inhumans #3 is a solid continuation in a dreary series that is undoubtedly living up to its name. Although it may be hard to stomach for fans of the Inhumans, Cates continues to deliver one great issue after another, and this one is no exception. Read Full Review
The series is still primarily a charnel house, but it's not without its moments. Read Full Review
this is really getting good! how do I like the Inhumans more now than I did when they had an ongoing series? Some very touching moments.
from a base of 6, this gets a rating of: 9.
+1 because: the art was definitely above average.
+1 because: makes me wish I read more of the Inhumans...
+1 because: Beta Ray Bill!
This issue has some improvements over the last one and somehow gets to a more coherent direction. The art improved also but maybe i'm just getting used to this new style Ariel Olivetti is trying. It also could be that he's not coloring his own art and it adds to the differences.
Solid issue, some attention grabbing twists, but the quality and consistency seems to be dropping, not only in the storytelling but also the art. Hopefully it finishes as strong as it started.
I love me some revenge stories, I'm interested!
While Black Bolt breaks himself out of prison - getting to be a habit with him - Medusa and pals waste A LOT of pages to go find an ally out on the very edge of left field. I like the ally in general, in principal; nothing in this issue suggests that I'll like how he's used in the next 2. Heaving Ronan onto this series' corpse-pile is yet another bit of short-sighted over-the-top-ery that honks me off. The art is bland and functional; this series would be a lot better - possibly even satisfying - with Ariel Olivetti's old painterly style. I do like almost-dead vengeful Black Bolt a lot, even if he is cribbing his new Death Litany attack from Arya Stark.
You know what would be way more entertaining than this series? A video of Don more
The only Donny Cates book I am not enjoying. It seems to favour being moody and shocking over actual substance.
