Rated T+
There may be a worthy discussion of what this series could have been, but with only one issue left it is clear that it will never reach any potential that might have existed. Read Full Review
A very twisty twist indeed.
from a base of 6, this gets a rating of: 8.
-1 because: it was confusing.
+2 because: a good storyline going here.
+1 because: I do hope Lockjaw is alive somewhere...
This series needed better planning and better art. Both creators (Cates + Olivetti) are great but this fourth issue just doesn't work. From the disconnected story telling which is trying to be continue the mystery but just comes off confusing. The last part is the only thing that saved this story. Olivetti again just doesn't succeed in his new style. Some panels are rushed and the detail i loved about his art before is lacking in many parts. I mean i get trying new things but it's not working for me. I'll be there for the last issue but i really don't know why?
This is okay, but I’m real mad about Maximus.
For the end just another issue? How could be possible after this? So confused....
As the full picture of what's going on slowly comes into focus, it seems that this is not the massacre it appeared, so points for that. However, it's still a grim fake massacre that's otherwise light on story and character. The writer's decision to ignore Ewing's recent excellent Inhumans backstory still gripes, especially when weird stuff gets shoveled in from left field like the Beta Ray/Lockjaw pairing.
I really don't like this story, but I do love Cates and that cliffhanger at least has me intrigued for once in this series.
