Jesus Saiz and Javier Pina deliver some truly inspiring and amazing art. All of the details highlight that beauty and power of the characters. All of the action looks amazing and the style and tone perfectly match the story Waid is telling. Read Full Review
A tidy finish with some resolution in the status of the supporting cast as well as peace made between Kanna and Strange. Perfect set up for the next stage in the drama. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange #11 brought this story arc to a close in the most spectacular of ways for the Sorcerer Supreme and friends. Strange is only at his best when he is aware of his own shortcomings as a person, and he is only as strong as the people he chooses to surround himself with. I'm glad that this chapter in his life was as much a personal journey as it was action-packed and fantastical. Read Full Review
Saiz's realism-driven comic style is welcome alongside the fun story. Simultaneously dark and colorful, the book is ominously dazzling. In a book full of demons and aliens (well, one alien) it is impressive how seamless such a realistic style works with the comic. Read Full Review
The combat that plays out in this issue isnt terribly interesting, but it IS part of a larger movement for Doctor strange that seems to be pushing the Master of the Mystic Arts in an interesting direction. Barry Kitson takes over the art with the next issue, which places Doctor Strange in the path of the world-devourer Galactus. So...yknow...things arent going to get any easier for him in March. This issue is fun to read but apparently inconsequential as it gives the reader a quick and simple solution to what appeared to be a grave situation in last month's issue. Read Full Review
This issue of Doctor Strange is both a high and low for this series. Everything about the book, from its art to its less-than-stellar conclusion, feels entirely too rushed. Read Full Review
The story concludes with this issue. It was what we expected, except that Stephen learns a little bit more about himself and the humility needed to be a true master of the mystic arts. A satisfactory finale to a good tale. And our hero learns a little bit about himself through teamwork and the weakness of his adversaries, but there is still unfinished business… *** (8.1 rating.) It's a good ending and bit fast. Still enjoying this book and i hope Waid recreates what he had with the first arc. Saiz is great as usual with a nice assist from Pina!
That resolved a little too easy
This felt rushed. I'm hopeful for the next arc, though.
This story is good and make sense. Even If I find too easy that the man behind Strange Trouble wasn't anymore in his office. I really love Kanna. And I was a little disappointed that suddently Strange was tired. I wanted a powerfull strange against Dormamuu. We have a boring "I will stall & talk to him"
Cover - Nice but not related. 1/2
Writing - Could have been better, but that wasn't the worst story I read this week. 2/3
Arts - Love the art and the layout. 3/3
Feeling - Mixed. A little disapointed by the end of this arc. I hope the next will be better. 1/2
Nothing too thrilling here, and felt a little bit rushed in a number of ways, but a solid enough conclusion.
