Waid continues to create a compelling story for Stephen Strange and the people in his life. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange #7 took what has felt questionable about this change in course for Strange's story, and added a bit more thrill to where it might take us. The enemy behind it all was a bit of a let down, but hopefully what follows in the next issue will make up for what you probably could or should have seen coming a mile away. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange might not be the first title you think of when you think Mark Waid, but his tenure with the character just continues to improve. Read Full Review
As the big 400 looms what better nemesis to return than Stephens oldest adversary. A solid issue with Casey being the unsuspecting weapon wielded by a bigger threat, looming like a shadow over Strange. Read Full Review
This latest arc has been pretty good so far, finally answering a long-standing question from Stranges history. However, without that prior knowledge, theres really not much here at the moment. The context from reading Strange: The Doctor is Out! is pretty much essential, and even Kannas backstory is only covered briefly. Read it if youre a long-term Strange fan or if youve started reading this run from issue 1. For every one else, issue 400 is coming in January, and Im sure thatll be a better jumping on point than right here. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange in space was a really fun, enjoyable comic series. However, two issues into this "Two Doctors" arc, a lot of that fun is already starting to disappear. Read Full Review
Stephen, Kanna, and Bats do heaps of lovable character work while their hunt for Casey ticks over to the next plot point. The relationships are enjoyable and heartwarming even if they border on simplistic; they make this issue a tasty serving of comfort food. The big art team does a surprisingly great job supporting the character focus. This script gets exactly the sort of emotive artwork it needs - lots of excellent faces here.
It's ok. Pushing it back to twice a month and having 3 artists on isn't helping. The story has my attention but can't match the first arc. Also the art from Jesus Saiz is missed here.
Waid have a good use of every character in it. He once more show the importance of Kanna & even tell us about her origin story.
I love how she work with Baz. A great duo. I'm a little concerned by the start that I trusted to be underwater (So a fire in the bottom of the ocean seem pointless). I like who hold Cassie Leash.
Cover - I take the variant. If the regular is related to the story this one is a Uncanny X-men version. Not a great one. 0.5/2
Writing - Apart from the start, I really like this story. I was very surprised by Strange's trap or the cliffhanger. 3/3
Arts - The layout are good, some panel not that good (In particularly a close-up on strange). 2.5/3
Feeling - I was worried to liking less the stor more
Better than the previous issue, but some of the magic has been lost with this arc. Especially since the twist turned out to be nowhere near as cool as I thought it'd be. It went in a very different direction.
Nice to learn some more about Kanna.
Stronger installment than the opening Outer Space instalment with a welcome last page cameo from a tried and true nemesis. Hit and miss with the numerous magic elements presented.
This comic is okay but I dunno man it’s not as great as it once was. Love Bats forever though.
