SPIDER-GEDDON IS COMING!
Spider-Punk is back and better than ever. After SPIDER-VERSE, Hobie Brown was a Web Warrior, but that didn't mean things back in his universe were solved. The writer of the SPIDER-PUNK story in SPIDER-VERSE is back and joined by VENOM'S Gerardo Sandoval! Spider-Punk's Earth is under attack both on the ground and from space, meaning his responsibility seems to outweigh his power. Don't miss this first shot of the SPIDER-EVENT of 2018!

This is an issue where the details add up together into a package that's near perfect. I enjoyed Spider-Verse but there's an energy about this issue that has me beyond excited for its event sequel. Hopefully we get more of this and hopefully we get to revisit Earth-138 sooner than later. Read Full Review
EDGE OF SPIDER-GEDDON #1 is a fun introduction to the upcoming SPIDER-GEDDON Event series. It does face some plot issues, but overall, this is a fast-paced, action heavy good time with fantastic art by Gerardo Sandoval Read Full Review
The sequel to Edge of Spider-Verse is shaping up to be just as much fun on an issue-by-issue basis as its presentation of a punk Spider-Man's world offers up plenty of new takes on characters. Read Full Review
A brilliant story and some great art leaves me feeling good about how Spider-Geddon is going to go down. Fleshing out Spider-Punk's (sorry) home universe feels natural and hilarious, even if we don't see much more of Hobie's character.Spider-Punk ongoing series when? Read Full Review
Overall the start to this 'Edge of Spider-Geddon' series was just a story about a day in the life of Spider-Punk on Earth-138 than about truly revealing any information about Spider-Geddon. If you're okay with that you'll most likely find some enjoyment out of this title that mixes punk culture tropes with a Spider-Man twist. I had some fun revisiting Spider-Punk enough to take a peek at the title but milage may vary. Read Full Review

A fun and energetic one-shot that gives us plenty of that alternate Spider action we've been craving. Punk gone global meets the Marvel Universe. Read Full Review
Without having said much, the comic gives a lot to talk about, but the comic also doesn't seem particularly interested in making statements. It just wants to get Hobie to a portal. Read Full Review
Spider-Doom preludes have never been actual preludes. They’ve never been actually necessary to understand what’s happening when the main event kicks off. Whether or not I can recommend this book to you depends on how interested you already are in the main character or how the writing makes it entertaining regardless. Unfortunately, I can’t say that it does the latter well enough to justify adding it to your stack this week, but if you’re a fan of Hobie, I say go for it. Read Full Review
An entirely skippable affair due to a lackluster conflict and boring characters. Read Full Review
Hobie needs his own series
Okay I'm not even sorry I loved this so much. Spider-Punk... sorry, Spider-Man has my heart forever.
Spider-Punk takes an issue to fight off Kang the Conglomerator before he falls in for Spider-Geddon duty. Is it essential reading? No. But it's nearly free of faults, and it has two giant positives in its favor. First, this is one of the greatest-ever match-ups between artist and subject matter: Spider-Punk's world is the ideal grist for Gerardo Sandoval's mill. And second, this comic is fully, deliciously aware of the irony of pitting Hobie against the evils of commercial commodification right before he dives into a Big Dumb Cash-Grab Event™.
Sempre loco com o Aranha-Punk! Opa... Homem-Aranha!
Wasn't even planning on getting this one, as I'm not really interested in the Spider-Geddon too much to get anything besides the main book (and even then, I could easily just skip it as ASM does not seem to have any tie-ins), but my LCS added the issue to my pull list, so I just went with it. And it was a lot better than I've expected! There's so many great ideas here, that I would not mind a miniseries, or even a proper series, about this world. The writing is good, the artwork is great, and it's just so much fun to read. If the event continues going like this, I'll be very happy.
