What happens when a parallel world starts out different from our own but, through random chance and development, begins to resemble our Earth more and more closely? And what happens when those two universes begin to merge not just in style, but literally? It's a fascinating scientific question that the Fantastic Four will have to consider as they swap places with their counterparts in this other world and find themselves battling for survival in the universe where everyone is a dinosaur, and not anthropomorphic ones, but literal full-scale dinosaurs with all their super-powers, wearing amazing super-hero costumes! Can Sue Storm defeat Brachiomore
Fantastic Four #12 is going to delight fans of superheroes and dinosaurs. Leave it to North to stick the Avengers into dinosaur bodies and Coello brings them to life splendidly. Read Full Review
Fantastic Four #12 eases back on the clunky (sometimes incorrect) science lesson for a fun story about the dino-Avengers from an alternate universe. The plot is clean, clear, and entertaining, and the last-page cliffhanger is solid. Coello's art is, likewise, excellent except for a bizarre change to Ben's head. Read Full Review
Fantastic Four #12 is the new series' best installment to date as it combines all of the series' core charms into an idea that's every bit as good as what's advertised on the cover Read Full Review
Fantastic Four #12 drops the heroic family into another wacky misadventure, this time with Dino Avengers. What sells this issue is that the Dino Avengers and their universe are very much like the main one only everyone's a dinosaur, which means the Dino Avengers actually behave like the heroes we know. The comic sells the concept of this dinosaur parallel universe thanks to the fact that the inhabitants actually do look like realistic dinosaurs instead of cartoonish dinosaurs. While the plot's not the biggest draw, the comic is still written well when it comes to the characters and the ending does hype things up for the next issue. Read Full Review
The unfolding of another parallel universe goes from zero to horrors in just a few pages, which is fun, but the truly unpleasant cover hides equally peculiar interior art. Read Full Review
I love this book so much!
The concept of each issue of this series has hooked me, and this one is no different.
Very good concept and delivery. Never thought this would work but Rayan North and Coello on art make it good. One minor grip with how Ben Grimm's head looks like it's floating at all times just looks weird.
This was a far weaker issue for me. It misses the mark for a few reasons.
1) The art for the first few pages before they go off to the Dino world feels off... like the smiles feel warped/things dont seem quite right like the was just done quickly/poorly. Things snap back once they change worlds but it might just be masked by the fact Dinos are drawn differently.
2) The story is just wacky. And not wacky fun like the previous issues. This feels so wacky it has 'jumped the shark' so to say and just feels ridiculous. I think the problem they face interesting but the portal of it is just too goofy to really focus on the story.
One part I liked was Ben with his Dino kids and the one kid to changed to look human more
