The character progression is very real in this series: Moon Knight is now equipped to take on the God that's been toying with him so so long, and we cannot wait. Read Full Review
Please, Mr. Marvel, never take Jeff Lemire off of this book. He is telling a Moon Knight story like no writer ever has. Even though not much happens in this one, my faith is in Lemire that there will be a payoff. Read Full Review
With a very human core, Moon Knight #9 continues the series' string of excellence. Jeff Lemire's script is unexpectedly touching, and the talented art teams make the book a visual joy to read. Moon Knight #9 shows that character progression can be just as riveting as a good plot and gives a nice pay off to the setup of previous issues. And now, with all of his personalities back within him, Marc can finally face off against the god that has been haunting him. Read Full Review
Moon Knight has almost always been a character associated with psychological issues and story elements, and Jeff Lemire found a way to bring that to a climax here in Moon Knight #9 (along with the incredible art by an extremely talented team). Read Full Review
Moon Knight #9 is a fantastic issue that reminds readers the comic book format is unique and offers storytelling techniques you can't get in other mediums. The story wraps up well in a visual way you won't want to miss. Read Full Review
For Moon Knight fans, this issue is a must-read. If you can, though, please read the first eight issues beforehand. This is an amazing feat for Marc Spector, and an interesting storyline"seeing all of Marc's personalities is quite the page-turning event. To read this awesome book, head over to your local comic book shop and pick it up! Read Full Review
Moon Knight may not exactly be sane by the end of this second arc, but at least he seems in full control of his faculties and only concerned with a single reality (rather than the multiple he's been jumping through since the series began). Even if he does now seem to have all his marbles, I'm not exactly sure what Marc can do against a god. I guess we're going to see. Worth a look. Read Full Review
Best issue of the series, with the sanity of Marc Spector being a great final point of the arc. It will be great to see the new iteration of Moon Knight after this issue, especially with one fighting at full strength, both in body and mind.
This Moon Knight ANAD is amazing. Jeff Lemire you're Amazing
This issue is perfect! This series is one of the most original, complex and unique story ever done in Marvel. Moon Knight is an incredible character and Jeff Lemire develops him perfectly. Also, the characterization is an absolute success. Now, he's my favorite Marvel hero. An idea that really works in this arc is the multiple-artist system, they're all talented but Greg Smallwood is definitely the best. The cliff-hanger is a pretty big twist on the character and I'm really excited to see what the creative team is going to do.
The only problem with this series is that I have to wait a whole month between Issues! Every issue flies by, I wish I could just keep reading more! The journey thru the first 9 issues to find himself (and find out what the heck was going on) was so fun and mind-bending, and now he's on a mission! Can't wait to see what happens next! Favorite series in a long time
After the confrontation with Marc’s other identities, he gets back in control and now he has a somewhat clear mind a clear goal. This issue had some touching moments, great art, and exciting cliffhanger. This was a great exploration of Marc’s mind.
Just created an account so I could show this Moon Knight series some love!
"Moon Knight #9" is a satisfying conclusion to the "Incarnations" arc, as well as the arc that preceded it. While some people might've lost patience after nine issues of exploring Marc Spector's sanity, I personally loved the slow burn approach. Lemire's take on the character helps clarify a very complicated canon by connecting the various runs that have come before it. Thanks to the work of Lemire and Smallwood--along with help from Francesco Francavilla, James Stokoe, and Wilfredo Torres--Moon Knight is quickly shaping up to be my new favorite superhero. In fact, if this issue has any real downside, it's that it makes me sad to see Stokoe and Francavill more
4 different artists in one issue…all 4 used perfectly
Strong end to this arc. The different artists work well together once again to produce a great looking book.
I understand this is the type of (superhero) comic that's clearly not for everyone. However, it is definitely for me and I love it. This one plucks at the heartstrings a bit with a touching moment between personalities.
My patience with the patience for this book was wearing thin with the INSANITY of the this arc. The opening arc originally showed a lot of promise with how Marvel chose to relaunch MOON KNIGHT. I found this to be a horrible transition from the opening arc, more of an EPIC ILLUSTRATED filler. But, with a MUCH better art effort, this integration of self-awareness had a semblance of coherency and good setup to finally set out to give KHONSHU some payback.
