To sum up, this is already one of the best Star Wars comics ever, with some of the most intriguing and exciting writing from Soule, art from Luke Ross that stuns as usual and fits the tone of this story perfectly, and unparalleled levels of hype for the return of Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn. The story of War of the Bounty Hunters continues next week with Bounty Hunters #13, though the next core issue isn't until July. I couldn't recommend a comic more, so please buy this one at your local comic shop! Read Full Review
As if the book wasn't strong enough on its own, it brings with it a genuinely shocking and delightful final reveal, that just elevates not just the issue but the potential of this event to an all-new level, making War of the Bounty Hunters #1 a must-read for fans and the best Star Wars comic of the year. Luke Ross creates highly detailed drawings that are complimented by water color inspired pastels in this visually stunning issue. This combination perfectly captures the tone of the story. Every panel is filled with a wealth of distinct patterns and images that drew my eye. Throughout each page, I felt completely immersed in the world of the characters. Read Full Review
A great start to a very interesting story. I can't wait to see how this plays out and knowing Charles Soule, I think we're in for a few surprises. Read Full Review
This is the classic Star Wars underworld we love combined with the newer underworld introduced in the modern era, and it's all done so well that it feels seamless. The excitement is just beginning and the galaxy is unlimited. Read Full Review
Now that War of the Bounty Hunters is officially underway, and will run through October, it's quite clear this event has all the trappings of a fandom-friendly story. From familiar faces to a mad as hell Boba Fett, there's plenty to enjoy here for casual fans and avid comics readers alike. Read Full Review
While I'm still somewhat wary about the breadth of this crossover as it hits all the Marvel things I dislike about their superhero crossovers, I'm enjoying the core books so far with what they're doing for the most part. This first formal part is one that makes it feel like it has a real idea of what it wants to do and it can help set up some interesting things post-ROTJ as well with how the underworld works and what goes down on Tatooine, for example. Soule continues to be one of my favorite Star Wars writers and his being paired with Luke Ross only makes it sweet. Definitely looking forward to more of this core run of books. Read Full Review

Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters #1 is a solid start to the mini-series. The event overall is massive and it'll be interesting to see how much one needs to read to really enjoy it. Hopefully, this main comic delivers the goods and now that all the players are on the board, we can really get to the action Boba Fett deserves. Read Full Review
"War of the Bounty Hunters" is setting up to be an exciting new chapter in the "Star Wars" comics, bridging the gap between movies with plenty of high-stakes action and callbacks to the wider universe as a whole. Read Full Review
Telling a story nobody really wants to tie together summer titles is an old Marvel trick. With fans not loving the Solo movie, trying to jam it into the Fett revival coming out of the Mandalorian, feels forced and boring. One star for the story and one for art. Also, the synopsis has way too many exclamation points! Read Full Review
I really enjoyed this issue. Many things I did not expect like bringing chancellor Soh in to the story and bringing back Qi’ra, which I thought was great. All of this build up has me really excited for the Book of Boba Fett later this year!
If you’re looking for an action-packed adventure, this comic delivers a thrilling Boba Fett story that hits all the right notes. From the first page to the last, the story is full of intense action, engaging plot twists, and the kind of bounty hunter drama that Boba Fett fans love. The artwork is dynamic and vibrant, perfectly capturing the high-octane energy of the story. This comic is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good Boba Fett tale filled with non-stop action.
Although I am not currently reading the other star wars comics like Vader, Doctor Aphra, Bounty hunters, Issue one of War of the Bounty Hunters is still a fun read. While the ALPHA was a bit better in my opinion, issue two is pretty good. The writing at times can feel a little off, with Boba talking about how great he is, it still shows Boba being iconic. I hope they don't turn Boba into the stereotypical bad guy who just boasts how great he is. My main grip, and this is a small one, is I wish the kept Steve McNiven on for the art. His art is amazing and it really showed in the ALPHA. Luke ross does a good job, but the colors they used for the art just did not work for me. Hopefully going forward you don't need to be caught up on the other more
