Get Your Comic On - Luke Deckard

    Feb 11, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman Annual #1 is a uniquely personal quest for Wonder Woman that dives into the core of who she is as a hero. It challenges the gods, demands justice, and shows the lengths she will go to in order to right a cruelty. Thompson continues to prove how mighty her pen is, balancing heart-pumping action with powerful interpersonal moments. That, combined with the stunning art of Mattia De Iulis, makes this an annual readers definitely shouldn’t sleep on. Read Full Review

This is an issue that definitely has compassion for Medusa and views her punishment as unjust, but it also doesn’t offer any particularly easy answers. It just takes you along for the ride as this version of Wonder Woman continues to make the world a better place, one story at a time. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman Annual #1 may just be my favorite issue of 2026 so far, as it is beautifully done from the story perspective of Diana and her mission to see the best in everyone and everything, to the incredible artwork. This is 100% an issue that should be pulled and put in everybody's box this week! Read Full Review

The weight of righting a wrong takes its toll on Diana as she embarks on a dangerous path. Thompson takes readers on a journey into self reflection and beating the odds with the writing. As someone who’s not huge into annuals, I never doubted this story for a moment. This book is yet another example of how amazing Absolute Wonder Woman is, and, more importantly, how amazing its title character is. In a world that feels like it’s getting darker, I can’t tell you how nice it is to read a story about a hero who goes above and beyond, not to save the day necessarily, but to do simply what’s right on a more human level. Anyone needing more Absolute Wonder Woman is certainly going to want to check this annual out. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman Annual 2026 does everything an annual should. It tells a self-contained story with strong themes that builds on the world and lore of the main series and features stunning artwork that brilliantly matches the tone. It’s a spectacular one-off and a must have for anyone enjoying the main series. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

    Feb 11, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman 2026 Annual #1 succeeds because it understands the character at her core. Thompson presents a Diana driven by compassion and conviction, while De Iulis elevates the story through powerful visual storytelling and grand mythological imagery. Even when the setting occasionally feels sparse, the emotional weight and artistic ambition keep the issue engaging from start to finish. It stands as a strong character-focused entry that expands the Absolute Universe while reminding readers why Wonder Woman remains one of DC’s most enduring heroes. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez

    Feb 12, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman Annual #1 is a sharp, visually arresting detour that manages to actually matter to the main series. It avoids the usual filler trap by delivering a emotionally resonant aspect to Diana's worldview that will likely have consequences in her relationship with the gods. However, some readers may find the dialog-heavy resolution to be weak. Read Full Review

Truth is for years, Kelly Thompson was a name I dreaded seeing on a title. For me -Her Captain Marvel was awful, The Birds of prey also just too campy and stupid. Now here we are 17 issues into an amazing run. In fact shes up against Synder, and Aaron writing Batman and Superman. Kelly is holding her own if not besting them each month. Kelly maybe wasn’t the right fit for those previous titles, but Kelly Thompson was born to write this character. Absolute Wonder Woman has been a title I look forward to every month. Hands down one of the best if not the best title from the entire absolute line so far. Some issues are slower than others but overall the series is fantastic. This annual is no different. Kelly continues to build a c more

Why can't we have this artist all the time on this title? Such an upgrade from Sherman. Can you tell I don't like his art on this title? This was a mild issue that got a little annoying near the beginning. Three panels would have sufficed, with her constantly asking for help. The save in the first few pages is a soemthing we don't see enough of in comics nowadays. The story itself is a little bland, but the looks of the characters are pretty cool. Kelly Thompson hasn't dropped the ball yet. My Review Channel - https://youtu.be/6fuJHwqbeJE

Can we use this comment as a petition to change this website back to the way it was? This new design is beyond atrocious. The mobile version is especially difficult to navigate (and there's no search bar at the top). There also seems to be a problem with the average rating for series' where it's not calculating the actual average for all issues. For example, Gotham Central (which I'm currently reading) previously had an average user rating of 9.1 for the whole series, but it has since dropped down to a 6.9 for no discernible reason. And that series is not the only one affected. I don't know what happened, but this update is garbage, and that's not just a knee-jerk reaction to change. It legitimately sucks. Anyway, sign this comment if you a more
