The answer lies within the very power source that allows Superman to race faster than a speeding bullet... It's a battle for Earth's yellow sun in the dramatic conclusion of "Darkness Falls"!
Eclipsos endgame comes into focus with a spectacular closing chapter. Waid maxes out the heroic strengths at play with the writing. I think this title might be even stronger if it leaned into its Brave and the Bold influences, and did more team-ups that didn't necessarily focus on the big two. Waid has such a deep knowledge and love for the DCU that it would be fun to see him stretch it even further. Read Full Review
Overall, Batman/Superman: World's Finest #33 is a fitting conclusion to a thrilling arc. The high-stakes battle, combined with strong character work and stunning visuals, makes this a must-read for fans of the World's Finest. Read Full Review

Batman/Superman: World's Finest #33 is a fitting conclusion to an excellent arc. The story hits all the right notes, the art is top-tier, and the emotional beats stick. It's not revolutionary, but it doesn't need to be. Read Full Review
If you let these things wash over you, this is a fun quick story. (After all, if you think about ANY super-hero story too long things get muddy.) But this wasn't as perfect or near-perfect as prior arcs. So in some ways it is a let down. Batman/Superman: World's Finest #33 brings the Shadows Fall arc to a close. It feels rushed, but there are glimmers of hopefulness in this issue that give a much-needed beating heart to this story. The art is colorful and fun, making it all-around an unevenly paced but solid issue. Read Full Review
The overall appeal of the series still remains, but rushed and poorly executed plot elements make it difficult to hold it in the same exceptional regard as in the past. Too often the endearing character moments and fun action is overshadowed by diversions that don't go anywhere or underdeveloped resolutions. Read Full Review
I hope you have the reflexes of Superman himself because Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest #33 is all over the place as the Justice League and Justice Society attempt to corner Eclipso with the sun in his sights. Its madness all around the world with so much going on in such a short span of time in what is meant to be the final issue in the Eclipso arc. Read Full Review
Not Waid's best but it's still good.
Solid book, good action, great art. It all wrapped up a little too quickly and conveniently imo, but it wasn't egregious. Good stuff.
Nice to see the Spectre chuck the villain into the centre of the sun.
Spectre? Please also do this to ball bag critic Gabe Hernandez.
Cheers
