Much like the Tom King issue of Batman and Elmer Fudd "Pway for Me" which was a break out hit last year during this crossover event, I found myself laughing so much while reading Daffy's dialogue. Much in the same way I enjoyed how Elmer Fudd speaks, this becomes even more humorous when you take into account that Daffy is dealing with The Joker. Read Full Review

"Why Tho Theriouth" alone should be a leaping point for a more serious Daffy Duck in the vein of Scooby-Doo Apocalypse. Maybe Gotham does have a new force to be reckoned with that can be alongside Joker in future tales. That story alone, along with the wonderful artist depictions of the Joker and Batman, is well worth the price of admission. "Silence of the Lame" is the cherry on top! Read Full Review

Lobdell and the team were able to craft an enjoyable story with limited stakes for the reader. Knowing the characters beforehand is beneficial for the enjoyment of the story. If you have never, at all, heard of either of these characters then I would stay away from this book. I'm not sure if this would have the legs to run a series, but a one-shot every so often would have me collecting each issue. Read Full Review

This story was definitely the most cartoony of the pair. It had the look and feel of an episode of Batman: TAS and that made it work as a story. It wasn't trying to break new ground with the characters and did a really good job of pushing the absurdity in their interactions. A really fun interlude in this issue. Read Full Review

"Silence of the Lame" places us in one of Gotham's most terrifying places (and it's not Jokers' bathroom) we are talking about the Arkham Asylum, there the Dr. Daffy Duck has the difficult task of entering in the broken mind of the Joker to psychoanalyze it and cure him for his mental disease (good luck with that!) All this will end in a frantic competition to see who is the more craziest. Read Full Review

We get a full, well-rounded story that's ripe with comedy, entertainment, and even some action. Lobdell and Booth do more than tell an effective story though. It's clear that they took time to really think of details to help elevate this story from good to great. Read Full Review

Unfortunately, eight pages of a $4.99 special can't exactly make this book a justifiable purchase for anyone who isn't purely buying these for collecting purposes. This special would likely have done well to have its main story played more serious like the much-lauded "Batman/Elmer Fudd Special". Read Full Review

Although the premise of this story is just over the top enough to be enjoyable, it doesn't have a lot of meat on its bones, or even stick around very long, becoming a little to bit predictable by the end. However paired with some good art by Brett Booth, the Joker/Daffy crossover's first story is worth a glance, but the second story is a pass, making the whole package may be not worth it for $4.99. The dialogue is fine, although the schtick of Daffy's lisp is something that works better in animated form than on the page, especially when you get scenes that are more dialogue-heavy and sentences that are more complex than Looney Tunes generally supports. Read Full Review

This was a fun read, if a little forgettable, which is where I think the bar usually is set for crossovers like this. While I think a bit more care would have resulted in a stronger story, once again, this a comic book about a homicidal clown meeting a cartoon duck. So Im also just kind of glad that this is a thing that exists. Read Full Review

I feel like the overall intention of these DC/Looney Tunes crossovers are to be fun mash-ups for a younger audience, but Lobdell and Booth create a thinly developed, weirdly realistic imagined situation for the Joker and Daffy Duck that is nowhere close to appropriate for a younger audience. Overall, TheJoker/Daffy Duck #1is a bit of a bust. Lobdell and Booth produce a sub-par issue that lacks the flare of DC's previous Looney Tune crossovers. While its backup story is brilliant, paying $4.99 for only eight pages of good storytelling is a big ask, as I found wading through the first twenty-six pages ofTheJoker/Daffy Duck #1a real slog. I'm giving a 10 to all these mashups. The main stories are ok. They're very well-written. They're just boring. However, the second stories have been great. Absolutely nostalgic. Fun and funny. Definitely not written for the kiddies as Harley's issue demonstrates.

This one in particular. They went classic Daffy character. And the reference to Neon Noodle was wonderful.

I can't help but enjoy this comic - for some reason, The Joker teaming up with Daffy duck is just surprisingly fun to read. The issue combines silliness of Daffy with Joker's homicidal personality, and does it reall well - at least in the main story. The supplementary short comic at the end felt like filler at times, but there was few moments that made me chuckle a bit, like Daffy kicking out Dr. Quinzel so he can examine Joker alone.
I'd recommend this one - it's not the greatest comic out there, but this week at DC was pretty dry, at least to me. But if you have a choice between this crossover and one of the older Hanna-Barbera ones, I'd easily take them. Dynomutt and Jabberjaw were great. This one is pretty good, but not much more.

This is a borderline irredeemable comic that skates by with the slimmest of margins. Scott Lobdell has a great voice for Daffy Duck. This version fits with whatever incarnation of the character you remember in your head and probably has the same voice. The problem with the book comes from the co-lead of the crossover. Brett Booth's rendition of Joker is off and it breaks the immersion within the story. After a few pages, the Joker's look goes from being just weird and becomes a distraction.

This depiction of Joker was probably done to contrast the more realistic take on Daffy but its a complete and utter failure. Sanford Greene provides the variant cover art and seems to get the spirit of both characters in a single image. Joker more
