Waid and Mora continue to deliver one of the most consistently excellent series on shelves today and Justice League Unlimited #12 is no exception. Several emotional moments hit hard, speaking to the weight of destiny and the finality of the battles we all face in life. Im eagerly looking forward to the next issue. Read Full Review

    Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson

The heroes out of time face the truth of their existence while Earth and the entirety of reality splinters all around them. This is the kind of comic that leaves you psyched and immediately hoping for more. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

It's pretty rare when something that's written this good looks at this good in a way that feels as well modulated as this. All too often in DC or Marvel try a major mega crossover event and it just feels like there's a whole lot of people standing around and posing. The creative team for this particular series has done a really good job of taking a deep dive, look at a certain characters which illuminate the overall action going on in the larger, mega crossover event. Quite an accomplishment in its own right. It's just a very, very enjoyable opening for the new story. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles

This adventure has the potential to be an engaging mix of characters that in Waid's hands could very easily make for a fun JLU spin-0ff if this first taste is any indication. Read Full Review

Justice League Unlimited #12 is an excellent example of how a tie-in can elevate the story of a big event. While DC K.O. #1 was largely focused on getting over the big ideas of the event Justice League Unlimited #12 immediately focuses on the ground level impact. Read Full Review

Justice League Unlimited #12 is a great read that's bursting with fantastic character ideas and stellar artwork, but it suffers from a pacing issue that makes it feel like pure setup. Get ready for an epic mission to hell and back, but maybe pack a snack, because we're only just getting to the boom tube now. Read Full Review

Another great K.O. crossover from Waid (though his Flash K.O. crossover this month is even better!). Nice setup this issue for what's to come. Loving the time-lost heroes appearing in the book, as they bring a lot of emotion and nostalgia to an already-wonderful story. The Mora art is gorgeous as always!

Waid's been putting out some great stuff with his return to DC but his events have all been a mess with each one having so many lingering effects that just convolute things so much it takes away from any intrigue or suspense from the next event. The concept of following a bunch of temporary heroes isn't doing it for me even though he's trying to add some depth to how they feel, it mostly fell flat.

Justice League Unlimited #12 is another one of these DCKO tie-ins that did zero for me. This whole concept of evacuating the planet Earth is preposterous and this comic just kept beating that drum. It's written as if the Justice League are Gods overlooking the human race and the humans are just mindless lemmings following the will of the "heroes". The major plot of the over powered super villains is quickly explained on one page and then on the next page, there is another silly concept featuring alternate/earlier versions of key League members. There is very little to latch on to or care about in this book. If this KO event was supposed to pull me into these DC titles ... it's failing miserably.
