A 12 part series is coming in August.
"END OF INNOCENCE" part two! The epic battle between the Super Sons and Kid Amazo crashes to a close, and Superboy and Robin must decide how to pick up the pieces of the disastrous Amazo Project. The Super Sons face tomorrow in this latest chapter of their journey together!
Super Sons has been a stellar title, both as a companion to Tomasi and Gleason's Superman, and in its own right. This book has definitely been one of the Rebirth era's biggest successes, and I eagerly look forward to “Vol. 2.” Read Full Review
The World's Soon-to-Be Finest are very much their fathers' sons. Tomasi has written them so brilliantly that it's clear that while they still have plenty of growing up to do, they are on the right trajectory to surpass the cape and cowl before long. There are plenty of winks and nudges to the fans, and there is a peculiar type of triumph that'll make you smile when you get to the end. Read Full Review
This is it, this is the end of the Super Sons...for now. Super Sons (2017-) #16 is a fitting final chapter in what has been a thoroughly entertaining series. Read Full Review
Super Sons #16 was an excellent story arc for fans of this book looking for another reason to believe in this team being more than a younger version of the World's Finest. They have their own way of tackling problems, and their solutions aren't so predictable either. For another arc that was a few issues, the pacing was excellent and held momentum from start to finish. Super Sons is a thrilling, enjoyable read that's just as much about character as it is about heroics. That's what makes it stand apart, and that's what makes it a success. Read Full Review
I am happy this book happened. I am sure I'll revisit it a lot. We need joy in this comic world and this gave it to me. Thanks to all the creators on the book but especially Peter Tomasi and Jorge Jimenez. Read Full Review
This has been a nice little run for Superboy and the Damian Wayne Robin. They seemed an unlikely pairing to star in a title. Yet, good writing and fine characterizations prevailed. I'll be reading the new series come August. Read Full Review
I agree with the Super Grandkids; I want to know what happens next. This series was a fun twist on the World's Finest dynamic and a great book for young readers looking to get into the greater DC Universe. I'm counting down the days until the next volume. Read Full Review
Super Sons #16 was fun way to end to this first volume of the series. Peter Tomasi delivered an ending that paid off on the growth Robin and Superboy have showed over the course of this series run. The ending with Superman and Batman praising their sons felt well-earned as it set up the next phase of Superboy and Robin's adventures as a duo. If you are a Batman or Superman fan and you haven't read Super Sons than I highly recommend fixing that right away. This is a fun series that will put a smile on your face. Read Full Review
The series was at its best when the friendship between the characters seemed genuine rather than antagonistic. I hope we see more of that in the next run. Read Full Review
Super Sons #16 is a fun and energetic finale to Peter J. Tomasis tale of two sons. The heroes continue to entertain, and it leaves it open-ended for the upcoming Adventures of the Super Sons maxiseries. In any case, this book earns a recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review
Last issues are always a bummer, but this one promises more Super-Sons to come and makes the reader WANT that to happen. Read Full Review
Every joke hit and the action was on point. These kinds of stories make me feel hopeful about the future of comics.
A wonderful and heartfelt finale to one of the best series I've read in years. Loved the bond between Jon and Damian and their fun, crazy adventures together. This book was filled with so much heart and spectacle that a lot of comics seem to lack nowadays. Curious to see what they do with the new series later this summer. Can't wait
I'm going to really miss the series - it truly is a shame it got cancelled, because Super Sons were able to perfectly combine youthhful energy with proper heroic action and plenty of heartwarming humor.
This finale concludes the run, and does it brilliantly, I may add. Farewell, Super Sons, hopefully you'll return one day!
