All has been revealed and we are (unfortunately) close to seeing the end of this chapter of Jimmy Olsen’s adventures. This issue, like the whole series, balances the ongoing mystery with engrossing events, interesting revelations, and gut-busting humor. The pacing of this issue was great and led to an end that not only tied up some storylines but got us ready for what is to come next. Read Full Review
As characters collide and the end approaches, it's impossible to anticipate what comes next, but the final few pages of Jimmy Olsen #10 promise it will remain a laugh riot. Read Full Review
So more to mull over, more to laugh at, more to smile at, more to marvel about! I will miss this title when it is gone. If DC was smart, they'd have these creators signed up for 1-2 specials yearly moving forward! Read Full Review
I don't know how he can wrap this up in only two more issues, but I do know I'm excited to see how he tries. More oddball books like this from elite creators, please. Read Full Review
This is an underrated title. It's good month in and month out. The stories are sharp and well thought out. Lieber does a great job on the art, too and the whole thing just works. It is nicely done book that deserves all of the kudos that it could possibly get. Read Full Review
Even though I can't quite accept that this story as canon, it still is quite enjoyable. I can see that some readers might not like this series if they don't appreciate this specific wavelength of humour. However, if you do have a warped sense of humour like I do, you will think it's freakin' hilarious. Read Full Review
Jimmy Olsen #10 is a wonderful reintroduction to the world of comics. Though I do find the overlapping storylines to be somewhat opaque, it kind of doesn't matter. This book isn't about the big beats of the story, it's more about the micro-moments. The dialogue, the masterful cartooning, and the character-work are the stars, and they shine as bright as they always have. Read Full Review
Though the chaotic energy and comedy of Jimmy Olsen is still here, this tenth issue would be better served as a part of a collection. Read Full Review
I want to reread this issue when the full trade comes out. I have no doubt it will be significantly more enjoyable when read immediately following the previous issues. If you are a fan of the series and have been reading it, my recommendation is to go back and re-read issues one through nine first. If that understandably feels like it might be too much of a chore, then hang out and wait for the trade. Read Full Review
Fraction is finally starting to fill in the gaps, and it is glorious
Prelude:
Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen has been great so far. Let's see how this issue goes as we near the end.
The Good:
Lieber's art is great like always.
Everything is tying together.
Enjoying Julian here.
Love how wacky this title is.
The Bad:
Nothing.
Conclusion:
Another crazy issue of Jimmy Olsen and I love it. Can't wait to see how this series ends.
Well I’m still having fun.
I'm slowly becoming ambivalent on this book. I find myself having a good time, mostly, but there's still this thought in the back of my mind that it's maybe a little too fragmented or a little too much. It's like when you go to a party and you realize there's a good chance your drink has been drugged, and now you make the choice whether to drink it anyway or throw it out. Jimmy Olsen is what happens when you chance drinking it.
