Avengers: Twilight continues to be a must read, in my opinion. The pacing, the story, the art, the incredible covers, this story is what we need right now. This creative team is building toward something big. This book is a constant reminder why superhero stories will never go out of style, in a world full of fear, they will always give us hope. There's plenty of meat left on the bone to be explored here, but I'm not sure this comic can deliver both a strong message and stick to the standard superhero beats. Still, Zdarsky and Acuna can certainly subvert expectations, so there's still room to impress in this series. Read Full Review

    Plot
Captain America and Thor face James Stark and the entire US military in what remains of THE RAFT prison, James is not prepared to fight Thor and escapes.

Ms. Marvel, Thor, Captain America, The New Hawkeye, the head of Iron Man, and Tyler manage to rescue all the personnel who were injured in THE RAFT to Luke Cage's lair, where Rose treats them, although she is still upset with Steve.

Tony now has armor attached to his head and explains to everyone that for years he watched as his son was manipulated by Jarvis, who is actually the Red Skull, to take over the country little by little. Tony doesn't remember well what happened on H-DAY, he doesn't know if his wife Janet died.

This series is a comic book done right period by Zdarsky/Acuna. I like how it feels, how it reads and how the art is perfectly matched to the tones and fully enhances it. Acuna is fantastic and I love everything art wise here. No notes!

Maybe a little too on the nose, but there's a wholesomeness in this book that is absent in most other grim future takes, and that lets this book be more than just another Dark Knight Returns homage.

Good stuff once again. Zdarsky and Acuña continue to do great jobs in their respective departments. I don't really have much to say about this other than that. I like the dynamics between everyone and I hope the final third of the miniseries delivers.

This issue doesn't meet the highs of the previous one, but it manages to still be a very compelling story with incredible art. The commentary is becoming much less subtle, but that tends to happen when talking about strongmen and their fascistic tendencies.

Another good chapter. This book has some amazing art. It really elevates the story as this issue gave us a lot of things to latch on to.
