EMPYRE TIE–IN! With the Fantastic Four neck–deep in the menace in space, who can Powerhouse and Brainstorm call upon to deal with the crisis down on Earth? Only Spider–Man and Wolverine, of course!
As Empyre moves into full swing, Marvel does one of the things that it loves to do best and throws Spider-Man and Wolverine out to get people to pay attention. With the Cotati, the Priests of Pama, and this so-called Dark Harvest we seem to be seeing a new spin on an old story. These cross-continuity events are mostly a marketing stunt to be endured, but at least The FF are taking a central role in this one instead of being treated as secondary characters in their own universe. And what is it with NKalla? Read Full Review
Dan Slott once again proves he's one of the best Fanatic Four writers in the history of the series. Read Full Review
A good issue to kick off an adventure with Val and Franklin while their family dives into the Empyre war. Fans should get a kick out of Spider-Man and Wolverine in the story and there is some solid dialogue throughout. Read Full Review
Dan Slott has proven over the last year that he's a great Fantastic Four writer. The problem here is that the Fantastic Four are only in their own book for a few pages. Read Full Review
Fun issue
Enjoyable even if I'm skipping Empyre as an event. Media and Izaksee were a good combo!
I liked this. The highlight was Spider-Man, honestly. I like this FF-less FF more than the past 5 issues probably.
Great art from Izaackse, underwhelming (to me) pencils from Medina once again.
" Hey, kiddos ! The calvalry's here ! It's spectacular Spider-Man and his sidekick Claw-Lad ! What'd we miss ?"

Art 4/5
Story 4/5
Coming back to this series since I read the tie-ins written by the main writers for an event. Good fashioned fun issue. Love the art and story, but as with most other tie-in issues, it doesn't add a lot to the event story. Still, it is fun and that's what I want most out of my superhero comic books
Franklin and Val get the war-orphans back to Yancy Street, but they can't stop them scrapping with each other (and a bigger conflict looms with some Cotati allies). Spider-Man and Wolverine manage to make things a lot worse when they show up, but it's not their fault. This felt like a pretty pro-forma plot to me, but the art is solid and I dig the characterization and dialogue.
It had some decent moments but I'm not reading empyre so the tie in isnt exactly needed for me. I thought there were also some parts that were a little too convenient. The cult that just happens to need the skull and kree kids and the some lame dialogue
This wasn’t nearly as annoying to me as usual, maybe because of the new plot? Maybe because the Fantastic Four wasn’t actually in it... who knows??
