If you're thrown off by Laura not showing emotion (which isn't true, it very much showed up at the end) then you really don't know the character. Laura's emotional queues have ALWAYS been subtle, and she very rarely has big, expressive displays. Her reaction - locking down what she's feeling and focusing on the mission - is completely in-character.

Aug 16, 2017It was wonderful seeing these two characters share the page once more, and better yet done in a way that didn't relegate Laura to the passenger seat. If you read one Generations book, make it this one. Read Full Review

Aug 16, 2017Generations has done a fine job entertaining me to this point, and Generations: Wolverine & All-New Wolverine #1 continues that trend. Yeah, it has a steep pricepoint, but if you dig either Wolverine, you really do owe it to yourself to pick this up and enjoy a comic book that was created simply for readers' joy. Read Full Review

Aug 17, 2017More than anything else, Generations: Wolverine and All-New Wolverine #1 establishes that the legacy of Wolverine isn't just measured by mountains of dead ninjas. It's part of a legacy. Logan establishes that legacy. Laura carries it on. Being Wolverine is basically a family affair, albeit with a lot more stabbing and ninja attacks, and it's a family that Wolverine fans of every generation can root for. Read Full Review

Aug 22, 2017Tom Taylor wrote one of the best Wolverine team up for Marvels Generations Line-Up, despite some minor inconsistencies. Youll definitely enjoy the fast paced, action packed team-up between Logan & Laura. The bonus is that he was still able to deliver heartwarming father and daughter moments in the story. Add in the art by Rosanas & color from Woodard, the book delivers a visually stunning and satisfying story. Read Full Review

Aug 30, 2017The moment in time explored in this issue was a big one for Logan and with Laura's help, while she may have not changed his fate, she did change a major part in his life. With Laura's help this one single time of doing something different will hopefully impact Amiko Kobayashi's life in a positive way. I doubt this event will make any impact in the ongoing All-New Wolverine series, but I hope that what Laura did for Amiko changes history in some way that is shown in the Marvel Universe in an upcoming story. Aug 16, 2017This is a very solid read. It has action, blood, and heart. People are butchered, reunions are had, and they show themselves to be the best there is at what they do, even if its not pretty at all. Grab this one. You wont regret it. Read Full Review

Aug 16, 2017It's clear by now that each Generations one-shot is going to follow a very specific formula, which could start to work against the series as that formula grows more and more played out. But it's one that works well in this Wolverine crossover. This issue makes the most of the Wolverine/X-23 dynamic and celebrates the legacy of a fallen X-Man. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Leroy Douresseaux
Aug 18, 2017I could have done without the mushy stuff at the end. Part of me wants Marvel to let Wolverine be Wolverine. That would be the stone cold killer of the early new X-Men of the mid-1970s, and not the Logan softened from being part of the X-Men family and by the tragedy of Jean Grey/The Phoenix. That said, I like this action-packed, violent fight comic and its surprising guest appearance. Read Full Review

This issue of Generations was the one team-up I was looking forward too. Tom Taylor has delivered yet again for the Generations event, and Rosanas and Woodard gives us good clean work. Generations: All New Wolverine & Wolverine #1 is a perfect balance of action and heart that's part of the Wolverine charm.

Action packed, funny, emotional, beautiful. I must say I'm impressed with the Generations. what I believed would be throwaway stories to set up an throwaway reboot are getting better and better each time. This one hits home run on the tone, the visual and the self-contained story that leaves you breathless with the ending. The small nods to the Logan movie are nice too. This gives me hope for Legacy coming up

Laura finds herself in a position to help Logan rescue his adopted daughter from the Hand. Tom Taylor turns in a letter-perfect action script with a freight train of great feels tied onto the final scene. Ramon Rosanas's art is amply serviceable throughout, guiding the reader through fights and emotions with equal aplomb. There's a tiny hint of something missing from the visuals, suggesting that strong as this is, it could be even stronger, but I can't put it into words. Still, this is a mustn't-miss performance and the undoubted standout of the Generations series.

Of the three Generations titles I read so far this had the most emotional weight to the story. There is still plenty of action like you would expect when two Wolverines are facing the Hand. The unfortunate part is that the story feels a little rushed in order to fit both action and drama. Much like Banner and Cho this is a pairing that existed before so we are just seeing it in a new way and it is very satisfying. Logan's awe at Laura's abilities as well as Laura's joy at seeing Logan again are explored. This also includes a nice throwback to Logan's past. Again we are left with little answers as to why Laura is in this moment of Logan's past. Like the others at a certain point after interacting with the legacy character the new generationa more

This ish was so much better than the previous 2 installments comibined! This book would have easily gotten higher rate but I HATED it that much just for it's lackadaisy connection to Laura's Present Day stich all for the sake of a pointless gimmick themed mini series.

Probably the best generations book so far. Art was really good and the story flowed nicely.

This was heartfelt and fun. This continues the theme of the Generations books appropriately with each incarnation of Wolverine proving they are the best at what they do. The only downside is that it's still frustrating to not know what caused these characters to meet; hopefully we get the answer soon and make these stories more enjoyable.

Cover - Why do I'm dumb enough to take the variant. For once the usual is Better 1/2 Writing - So ... Why, How, Laura can appear in this story ... We (And Laura) will never know. That's a good way to piss me off. And I tell that while I love Taylor run on All-Now Wolverine. But for the good part I like Taylor choose Japan. The best story I ever read in the 90's on Wolverine ongoing was in Japan. And he make some fun joke (Like the dress part ^^). But I'm stuck with one problem. Why the mysterious bad guy being Akiko kidnapping never try to take revenge on Laura when she appear in the Marvel U. Not a single time. So ok now he is a Good guy. Or not really a bad one. But before that, I'm astonished he never try to take some revenge. 1/3 Arts more

Was really disappointed in this issue. Had been looking towards the reunion of Laura and Logan, but this was just lazy writing. No explanation of how Laura traveled to the past. She also showed no emotion for being reunited with someone who's recent death highly affected her. Generations seems to be nothing but classic characters propping up replacement characters. Laura and Logan both deserve better.
