The Vision and his family just want to lead a normal life. However, the world around them is having a hard time seeing them as normal. Virginia knows nothing can disrupt the work being put into this mission. She's resorting to doing the optimal thing to keep them on the path to normalcy, but they're struggling. It doesn't make sense why humans do what they do. It's not the perfect thing to do. Feelings that humans have for each other and for themselves just fog the facts. King's plotting never loses its slow-motion-car-wreck suspense and he admirably resists easy answers. He shows how protectiveness and bravery can lead to bad deeds, how marginalizing outsiders can create the violence it is meant to stop and how hard it is to do right when fear and anger dominate. While this issue lacks the energy of some of its predecessors, the level of polish on display is staggering. Tom King's characterization and thoughtful plotting seem destined to make this a treasured run and with Walta and Bellaire at his side and the point of no return well and truly crossed, it's hard not to be excited about this series. Tom King is a genius and the art is not bad either!
Continues to be the best and most intelligent ANAD title.
