Wolverine #31 is an all-around well-done issue. Its the line in the sand, the big change for Wolverine and X-Force. Percy, Ryp, DArmata, and Petit have taken readers for a white-knuckle ride with this story, and this issue does a great job of selling everything. Read Full Review
A whole ton of things that were seeded all the way back in 2019 begin to bear fruit as ‘Wolverine' #31 begins a major arc pitting Logan and X-Force against their former boss, Beast. A ton of slick action, lives on the line, and far too many Beasts fill these pages breathing some life into the series after a slower few months. Read Full Review
Wolverine #31 kicks off a Beast vs. Logan showdown you won't want to miss. Everyone's favorite blue mutant genius has gone off the rails with only more evil and immoral actions ahead of him, and he must be stopped. Given the stakes and how powerful Beast seems to be, there may be only one mutant left who can do it. He's got six claws, and he's all out of patience. Read Full Review
Overall, this issue had great pacing and some incredible imagery. This arc is looking like it is a great place to jump back in for new or returning readers. From what Wolverine #31 showed readers, anything could happen moving forward and it is clear that its going to be a blast to see. Read Full Review
This book is interesting, clear, has a great conflict that is ramping up in new ways. The art is dynamic without ever being confusing. This arc takes us down a new path against Beast, but it is nice to have a clear concise enemy and hero in an X-book. Read Full Review
I'm not particularly attached to Hank as a character so this heel turn has been a lot of fun, but there's also a note buried in the issue that could hint at them reversing course if all of this isn't well-received. Read Full Review
I've been such a huge fan of this entire run but lately this book has been incredible! This is such an awesome issue of wolverine if I had to come up with something I didn't like it'd be that the issue ended because I can not wait for the next chapter!
This is one of my favorite book. Percy is an absolute genius when it comes to writing wolverine. If it wasn't for best friend I would have never got back into comics and reading this amazing story. I can't wait for the next issue.
This was a really great issue. It sets up so much for the next issues of Wolverine and X-Force, giving both books a solid focus point and drive, with Beast serving as the major villain at long last. While Beast was the primary narrator instead of Wolverine, it was very interesting and important for the story as it finally explains Beast's motivations and shows that he has an end goal. Just what the end goal is and how he plans to achieve that has not been revealed quite yet, but it's set up here in such a way that makes you excited for more. Wolverine has some good lines here too, showing that he knows how he and the X-Force team have failed and he at least has the drive to try to make things right. The only part I have to complain about ismore
More of an X-Force issue than Wolverine's but this was great.
While I hate war criminal Beast Percy finally developed Beast into a cool villain who is about to get some comeuppance. I wish we would have gotten here earlier but better late than never.
A pretty strong start to what’s basically a continuation of the Beast stuff we’ve seen recently. This really feels like the beginning of the culmination of Beast’s storyline in this title and in Percy’s X-Force run, which I’ve really been enjoying. I’m glad to see that Ryp is still on the art duties for this arc as well.
The new arc of the Wolverine/X-Force/Beast story kicks off with a series of slow, momentous plot developments. The presentation is chilly and darkly witty in the writing and (subjectively, at least) spectacular in the art.
Considering the wild content, this issue's subtle storytelling is all the more impressive.
Beast is doomed, but X-Force members have been complete idiots. They should have arrested him when they discovered he had a secret lab.
Man, Beast is such a chad.
Apparently there are no more X-villains besides ORCHIS and Moira, so I guess there is a new one. . .
Wolverine is basically the X-Force book now, which is a good thing!
