THE CALM BEFORE?
After Brand's machinations and the Sins of Sinister, the mutants of Arakko are catching their breath... but even as Storm begins a new romance, she has no time to rest. Charles Xavier has questions about Magneto's death. He's not asking nicely.

X-Men Red #11 is so fantastic it isnt funny. Ewing is like a multi-instrumentalist, playing everything perfectly. Camagni and Blee do a wonderful job on the art, bringing the whole issue to life. This comic has always been incredible, but this issue is something special even among the amazing books that came before. Read Full Review
X-Men: Red #11 continues to tell engaging and impactful stories while shifting the power of the Mutant nation. Read Full Review
The characterizations in this issue are among the best in X-History. This is the Goddess at her absolute best and Xavier at his very worst. Read Full Review
X-Men Red #11 shows a conflict between Storm and Professor X that I wasn't expected to be addressed in such a dynamic and thrilling way. Read Full Review
This issue is the rising tension before the much-teased Genesis War storyline coming up in the following issues. Even with that being said it's still a great issue filled with moments readers won't want to miss! Read Full Review
X-Men: Red is always a highlight within the X-Menslate, butissue#11 does exactly what more comics need to do: It gives characters a chance to breathe. It doesn't need to rely on meaningless fights to create genuine emotional tension and explores its heroes in a fresh and profound way. While the story it's building up to has already been told, it will still be interesting to see what Ewing will do with it. Read Full Review
X-Men Red #11 balances the aftermath of multiple consequential eventsboth "Sins of Sinister" and Judgment Daywhile reestablishing its own ongoing story and status quo after a 4-month hiatus. Read Full Review
Amazing
Was this a great issue? Yes. Do I still absolutely love this series? Yes. Like Immortal X-Men #11 a week prior, the events of Sins of Sinister are felt here with Charles and Ororo's heated conversation. While I really enjoyed that section of the book, I can't believe Charles interrupted that date at the beginning. There was some chemistry there and I really hope this is something explored further sometime soon. The ending of this book is interesting as well and I'm wondering where things go with Ironfire showing up at the end.

X-Men Red continues to be one of the best books at marvel along with Immortal X-Men. The cracks in Krakoa are becoming more and more prominent leading to the fall. The moments between Storm and Charles really bring it home for me. A must read series
Between this and the wonderfully-coordinated companion piece in last week's issue of Immortal X-Men, this has been a great month for Storm fans. The art is up to its usual standards (that dress!) although since it was confirmed on the previous page that Bobby & co. were naked in the space hot tub, it definitely took me a sec to realize that was Bobby's knee in the panel where Kobak stands up
It's just a leisurely slice of Arakkii life, but drawn and scripted with exquisite care (and a good bit of humor). Few people do "persistent supporting cast that may move to center stage in the future" quite like Al Ewing; I'm keeping an eye on that Kobak fella.
It helps that the Ororo-Xavier conversation brings some real heat on the characterization front. I'm glad Ewing and Gillen are on the same page when it comes to Storm's PoV; they both show her holding a grudge over her original X-Men recruitment. And come to think of it, they both treat Xavier the same, holding onto a giant martyr complex (or "White man's burden" role if you'd rather) even though he's far removed from the center of mutant action these days.
I found this compelling; I just wonder why the X-office has such a boner for vilifying Xavier.
This was fine but felt I was re-reading parts I already did with Ororo since similar beats were done in Immortal. Camagni on art was good.
The X-Men books have turned into just talking and not going anywhere.
