His solution was "I'm sure everything'll turn out ok for you Lia, even though you're dead right now". That's not something I enjoyed at all. His philosophy wasn't about not killing those who cheer for them, it was about winning hearts and minds by trying to win over even those that don't understand him at this point. I did like that but again, it really bothered me that whole "oh you're dead but you'll get over it".

Merlyn - Dec 29, 2021

Yeah, I also enjoy this a lot more than Taylor's cringy Superman, which is horrible overall. But I still feel like this run is playing it too safe.

A visual treat but each issue feels like a teaser. It's like an episode of Bold and the Beautiful where each scene concludes with a tense expression or cutting question. Let's get a move on please!!! The closing panel of 1037 shows Thanos (sorry Mongul) impaling Kal which looks fatal. Suddenly in 1038, here he is clinging to life looking like he's fought an epic battle BUT....we didn't see i more

Yeah, I didn't enjoy this, sorry. The logic of it just isn't there. The council dude who argues against intervention just doesn't make sense. I get it, he was trying to delay offering help to Supes so he doesn't save the Phaelosians he was afraid of but his reasoning is flawed. I mean, whether they intervene in conjunction with Superman or after he was supposed to liberate Warworld, according to h more

ARTWORK - Very good but the panel layout simply filled the pages and took up space. One can only imagine what Kirby would've done with a slug fest like this should be.
STORY - If Kal-El is going out, he should take Thanos - I mean Mongul with him. That he is depleted is disappointing. The space allocated to this is way too little. I feel ripped off. This should be epic. It's good a more

Much improved magazine overall from the Bendis days.
The dialogue made sense and there was some continuity/flow.
Still too complicated for a comic book and for my taste. The title is action. Let’s see some.

A breath of fresh air after the horrific drivel we’ve put up with.
I prefer the art to the story. Not a fan of all the supers. Like Syndrome said,”when everyone’s super, no one will be.” I fear my days as a comic fan are nearly done. That’s cool. Thankfully it's over! Bendis is gone and so is the art of John Romita Jr. Honestly, page nine looks like he is trying to imitate Picasso abstract portraits with his 1/2 assed attempts at art work. The issue does provide an ending to a story no one really cared about, it's sad to Conner Kent written by people who don't know how to handle the character. Jon goes back to the future and as far as I'm more

Honestly I would give it a zero, this book has gone from bad to even worse. I didn't think that was even possible yet here we are. The art is laughable. Have a look on page 5, there is this thing called depth perspective. I don't know what is on page 22 but if that is intended to be mongul that's just horrible. I can’t comment on the story because I can’t bring myself to read it. It could be a good script written by an Oscar winner but I just can’t be bothered when the pictures look like my grandson drew it.

I dislike Bendis’ style immensely. I think back on comics like Thor from #126 through #190 say.
