This issue is worthless. The Superman family pages are spent mostly regurgitating a plot synopsis at us, or repeatedly telling us the current situation as though we'd forget between pages. And then the stuff at the Daily Planet is genuinely pointless. Nothing is revealed. Ms. Leone just continues saying the same things over and over again, as if she knew she had to cue up the cliffhanger, but coul more

Oh where to begin? Where to begin? Alright, right out on front street this issue is garbage with no redeeming qualities what so ever. The art continues to be something that I could do after downing a bottle of rye and falling down the stairs breaking my hand and blurring my vision. I only rate this at all because, I unlike ACTION, the art is great. My loyalty to DC in particular and comics in general is being tested.
Marvels’ stuff doesn’t even look like comic books anymore and the PC and woke crap is too much.

The series continues to be the worst book in my pull list, month after month. The seven paragraph recap of the story was a nice nod that no one is really paying attention and requires a recap because the story is that uninteresting. Note to everyone who hated this for being like all the other issues of this series: why are you still reading? Save your money and buy something you will like.

Anyway, I appreciate that Bendis took the time to slow down and made Supes slow down as well. Even if he doesn't really have Dr. Fate's voice anything near right. And Maguire is welcome any time.

I’ll tell you why I’m still reading. It’s an allegiance to a fictional character that’s inspired me for 60 years. It’s to maintain long cared for and beloved collections. It’s due to an affection for comics generally. That’s also the reason we write reviews that criticize creative teams ( and I use the term loosely) that pisses on the object of our affection. Does that make any sense to you? What sort of moron would even question it?
