OK I’ll be honest. I did not get past page 1. The good news is I can’t criticise Bendis in fairness. The artwork made me feel that I had purchased a comic for toddlers. WHAT IS GOING ON???
I could not bring myself to look at it let alone read it.
I’ve just about had enough. I think I’ll give it to #1021 and if nothing improves I’ll treat it like the Alien franchise. I more

Ten. This book redeems the series as it gets the character of Superman. I don't give a book a perfect score lightly. Everything in this issue is on point from the story to the art work. I really enjoyed this issue as it was the perfect ending to the mini-series.

Bendis spends so much time trying to convince everyone that he "gets" Superman, but he just comes off as a try-hard who changes things to suit himself, not the character or his fans. The Bendis Speak is in full effect here and makes everyone sound the same at best, but makes me want to punch everyone most of the time. Add to that some of the worst art I have seen in a Big Two Comic Book in years more

If anything is learned from this issue it’s that editorial do not even give the most minute iota of a crap about this title.

The bendis’ dialogue tends to be hit-or-miss, with an inordinately high chance of failing to find its target, but this was a whole new level of bad. Is he ok? Did he have a stroke? Someone should call someone.
