Mr. Johns and Mr. Frank play the tropes here like masters, and the result is an incredibly fun and engaging comic book. You have your desert, desolate world with the remnants of civilization scattered across the land. The survivors barely get by, constantly in conflict with each other and the harsh environment, the result of a nuclear war. Roaming the radioactive sands enters our hero, Geiger (with a cape and everything!), a man who doesn't consider himself a hero despite his heroics, a sure sign of a true hero. He's the silent type, because of course he is. A grim man with a heart of gold. To counterbalance our silent badass, we get Nate, The Nuclear Knight, a perfect name with a perfect sidekick quest: A bastard on a path to redemption. Hmore
Plot
Geiger wanders through the radioactive desert of Nevada with his dog Barney implementing justice where it is needed, where his powers seem unstoppable and he uses them with extreme skill. Geiger is pursued by the Army and Nate, the henchman of the King of Vegas who now seeks redemption and offers Geiger an opportunity he can't refuse.
Geiger new volume brings a mix of Spaghetti Western and dystopian scifi future elements, where Geiger is a lethal hand-to-hand combat fighter with efficient radioactive power. The action sequences are fantastic, a visual and narrative delight.
Johns' narrative rhythm excites and takes you into the dangers of this world, where just breathing can be lethal.

Loved this so much, I’ve been waiting for another Geiger. Art is beautiful as well!
Geoff Johns is the Human Torch, because his content right now is literally straight fire. It's nice revisiting this series again, and I am very interested on how this plays out. I'm interested in this new Ghost Machine Universe
Ghost machine is 3 for 3. Amazing debut.
As a script it's not exactly new and Knight is seriously annoying but it's got a charm and the art is exquisite. With a bit of development this could be a really enjoyable ongoing series.
Cracking stuff!
Definitely not as strong as the stuff that's come before this issue. It's still entertaining, but a little generic.
