It may have been a long wait, but it was absolutely worth it. Batman: Creature Of The Night may not be about actual Batman, but it's a tale all fans of the Dark Knight should read. Possibly my favourite Batman comic of the 21st century.

Two issues in and this is one of the best comics of the decade, really excited to see where it goes for its second half.

God I love Coffin Bound. The art is perfect. The writing is perfect. The surrealism is perfect.

Absolutely fantastic debut tat sucked me into the world and made me care about the protagonist. Really excited to see where this goes.

One of the highlights of 2019 comes to a close. Thankfully at the end of the issue it says that Faithless is returning in 2020, and I seriously can't wait.

The Hill House imprint is off to a strong start!! I'm excited to see where this series and the imprint's back-up ('Sea Dogs') goes.

This is up there with Gideon Falls, She Could Fly and Coffin Bound as one of the best debuts of the last couple of years. An intriguing horror story with heartfelt characters and brilliant atmospheric art. I'm certainly excited to see where this goes!

The art is a bit iffy in a couple of places, but overall there's a fantastic dreary gothic atmosphere that embraces the grotesque ness of life and death. Loving this already.

A Hellboy story written exclusively by Mignola is always a treat to read! It helps that the visuals are wonderful as well!!

Really enjoyed this, excited to see where the series goes.

I nearly didn't pick this up, and I'm still unsure if I'll get the next issue or wait for the trade. But this was a good first issue and I'm intrigued by the world that's being built.

As a series, Wyrd has been frustratingly average. It's had a lot of potential to be something great but just can't quite make it. Issue #4 however made for a nice surprise and is the stand-out issue of the whole series. I'm honestly glad I read it as I nearly skipped it based on the previous issues. I won't say anything else as I don't want to spoil it, but this issue is worth reading alone. (Also features an alternate take on what Superman could have been, which is always fun)

There's nothing bad, but there's nothing that makes it good either. What should have been an exciting start to the first new run on the title since Rebirth started is just another mediocre Batman comic.

Nice art, but forgettable story.

Aside from a couple of interesting moments with Kindred this issue felt completely pointless to me.

It's just. So. Boring.

This is a series that started strong, but by the end has descended into making me cringe on almost every page. I only made it this far into the series because I knew it was ending and was hoping it might live up to the first couple of issues. It didn't.
