• After the epic conclusion to NO DEVILS, ONLY GOD, Matt Murdock has no choice but to investigate the corruption in New York's police force further.
• And Wilson Fisk may be the Kingpin of Crime no more, but he still has blood on his hands...

Another fantastic issue of Daredevil...without Daredevil in it. The struggles and characterizations that Chip Zdarsky creates are just horrible, but so fun to read. Marco Checchetto's art is just an amazing feast for the eyes...get this book on your pull list ASAP! Read Full Review
I am really enjoying this book and Chip Zdarsky showed me that can be the case in an issue with very little Daredevil in it. I am looking forward to seeing more of him and Elektra in the near future, but this issue was all about Kingpin and Owlsely and I couldnt have been more happy about that. Read Full Review
Yes, it is the inevitable praise for Checchetto's consistently amazing work. Despite the bloody bathroom scenes and elegant sparring between Daredevil and Elektra my favorite page was more subtle. There's a four panel page of Wesley on the phone with Fisk, listening to him explain what he's done. All we're given is four different expressions on Wesley's face. It was expert storytelling and deserves all the props. Next issue a new artist joins the team alongside Checchetto. I'm tentatively excited to check out any addition in creative direction. Daredevil #13 is another phenomenal issue. The sense of escalation that Chip Zdarsky continues to deliver has been a pleasure to watch. Everyone involved from Matt Murdock to Wilson Fisk to Elektra to Detective Cole North play an important role in what is going on. All of Zdarsky's dialogue is further elevated by the astounding artwork by Marco Checchetto. Checchetto's storytelling ability solidifies why Daredevil is Marvel's best comic book right now. This is a great time to be a Daredevil fan and the readers who follow it are surely to be consistently rewarded as each issue comes out. Read Full Review
Daredevil #13 is a great issue for the series and it has brought it back to form for me. I was getting a little bored with it during the previous story arc. The art wasn't great and I was getting a little bored with the story. Zdarsky has picked up the pace and has brought in some very interesting developments in this issue and the previous one. Having Checchetto back on the series is also great for the series, as he brings a wonderful unique styling to it. Read Full Review
"Daredevil" #13 is a great turn in this volume of "Daredevil" for all of the major players in the series and leaves readers wanting more. Read Full Review
The worst issue of Daredevil still packs more to critique than most comics contain for praise, but that doesn't make this misstep any less of a misstep. Read Full Review
Wesley being the kind of man everyone wants to have by their side, Elektra training Matt, Cole doing some vigilantism and then having a crisis because of it, Marco Checchetto on the art. Yeah, this was perfect.
Wesley with an all time great “I’m him” moment
Old habits die hard for the Kingpin.
Prelude:
Last issue has brought an interesting cliffhanger that I can't wait to see explored. Hopefully Zdarsky brings his A-game like always to this issue.
The Good:
Loved the Daredevil being trained by Elektra scenes. Really well done.
Fisk ruled this issue. Perfectly well done, tactical and smart.
The Owl scene was also really great.
That cliffhanger is amazing. I can't wait for the next issue.
Oh, and the art is utterly amazing but that really doesn't need to be mentioned. Checchetto's artwork is great and consistent between these issues.
The Bad:
Nothing... at all.
Conclusion:
Holy ---- this issue was amazing. Every frame was done perfectly more
Oh my god I loved everything about this. Kingpin being vulnerable! Wesley being ruthlessly competent! Detective North having a crisis! Daredevil getting good! So great,
Zdarsky and Checchetto made another fantastic issue.
Another perfect issue from Zdarsky and Checchetto.
Wesley on fire. Nuff said.
Finally, the Wesley issue we all needed.
-Chip and Marco create such appealing transitions
-Cole's story has grown on my over the past 4 issues
-Love Wesley having the spotlight
-issue had really good balance in telling each character's story
Every scene has Meaning, and all the Meanings are related. It's sublimely coordinated, like ballet.
I often praise good comics art for being "expressive," which can be a wishy-washy term. To give it meaning, look no further than those four panels where Fisk calls Wesley. Mr. Checchetto tells the *entire* story just in Wesley's reactions. (And Mr. Woodard helps by adding a perfect, subtle flush in the third panel.) To evoke the character and the story so clearly, with such detail -- it's a rare art team that can do that.
Damn bro, Wesley is cold.
This run is amazing. I love that each issue takes its time because Daredevil isn't meant to be an epic adventure or tale, it's just meant to be street level vigilanteism and very grounded. Zdarsky gets that and each issue feels like it takes place over the course of a day if not even 12 hours, which is great. He fills it with great dialogue and great character moments, and its coupled with amazing art from Checchetto.
Zdarsky and Checchetto do it again.
The art, dialogue, and pacing are all on point.
I devour each issue of this run with increasing zeal!
" All because i'm still a scared boys trying to survive in the streets, unable to let sleights pass without... Without... "
- Mayor Fisk
What a fantastic comic! Zdarsky continues to be one of the best writers in the business, making a story about why Wilson Fisk will never be anything but the Kingpin and Matt Murdock can only be Daredevil into a viscerally compelling character study instead of merely another story in which the characters try things other than being a super hero and super villain for a while before the status quo inevitably asserts itself. And what wonderful art from Checchetto! Has The Owl ever looked so utterly sleazy before?
Made me so angry for what Wesley did.
Boy now I have much respect for Wesley! Great issue! Chip really does a great job at making you want more when done. It doesn’t do much for the story but just what happens, is just wow! Highly recommend it.
This was a great read. I love the art and this series has been moving a little slow but overall gets things done. I love the Detective North storyline and Kingpin in this issue. Cant go wrong.
