You asked in very bad faith and you know it, let's not pretend it was just an innocent question. If you followed the dialogue, you would've seen the lunatic came completely out of nowhere with the vaccine thing as no one discussed about that there. It's his shtick, he loses the argument and he just throws shit at the wall to stain others and throw random accusations at people. I'm well enough ignoring crazies but I would've thought spreading lies is beneath you.

I did in May. I'm not inclined to take the booster, though. I meant to, even though after the second shot I had some pretty nasty side effects. But I don't agree with the green certificate thing limiting people's movements and the way states all over the globe are forcing people's hands through this measure. I think people should take the vaccine willingly and not forcingly by forcing them out of social places. This is just plain wrong.

I think people shouldn't be forced into living in a plague world, personally, because people aren't willing to get vaxxed. The way to maximize the freedoms of everyone is to mandate vaccinations.

I got my first shot in March and my second shot in April, and I will get a booster ASAP if the science says it's necessary to combat the virus.

I said the way to maximize freedom is to mandate vaccinations. Here's how that breaks down: If we continue down the route of letting people choose to get the vaccine, a sizeable enough portion of the population won't get it due to mostly political and conspiratorial reasons. This means that the virus will continue to mutate, becoming more spreadable and more deadly, and eventually it will render the vaccinations useless.

While this is happening, we are constantly living under the threat of a virus that we cannot protect ourselves from without the cooperation of these same anti-vaxxers who also won't socially distance and mask themselves. By not being vaccinated, and not being safe, those who wish not to catch the virus and get sick, and have lifelong ailments or even die, have to limit our activities. This limits our freedoms across the board. It also limits society's ability to continue functioning.

Our economy can't function in a COVID ruled world. We're seeing massive shortages, inflation and a labor shortage because of this very thing. Simply put, by allowing the whims of the unvaccinated to control our destiny as a society, we are destroying the freedoms of everyone. One person's freedoms end where another person's freedoms begin. This is how we decide when to limit freedoms, legally. Such as with not allowing murder or rape, or theft. This is no different than that.

You could make a case for vaccine mandates being authoritarian, although that is truly up for debate and hinges mostly on how you quantify the give and take of personal freedom on a large scale. Fascism, this isn't. Fascism carries a large weight of conditions that go beyond authoritarian action.

Yeah, right now. There are still breakthrough cases. And all the people who don't have access to the vaccine yet, and all the immuno-compromised people who don't have the option of being vaccined, such as cancer and HIV patients.

Regardless of that though, we still aren't operating society the way we did pre-covid. So, it's still harming everyone.

I feel like only less than half of the stories are good with these special issues. The Mark Waid one was definitely a highlight for me
