I’m sure some of the rhetoric in this issue, particularly out of Mia’s mouth, will get a lot of people talking about certain real-world parallels, but this comic actually works really well justin the context of a superhero story. This is a world where the innocent are hunted and the guilty are more powerful than ever, and the heroes are often powerless to strike back – so villain tactics might be necessary to fight back. Absolute Green Arrow #2 takes us deeper into the mystery of who our killer is. This issue brings us to familiar faces within the Green Arrow lore and shrouds us in mystery even more than before. The blend of action and suspense is working cleverly, making this a horror story of sorts. I will have this run at the very top of my pull pile every month; I hope it gets expanded beyond its current limited run. Read Full Review

Two-for-two on great reads. The first issue, and even just the hook of it, was really catered towards those with more left-wing political views, considering who Absolute Green Arrow is targeting and who the "bad guys" are in this book (and the universe as a whole). I don't think this flips that here, but I appreciated Pichetshote using the dialogue between Dinah and Mia to, in a way, call out the more performative activists. In this case, specifically, it's Mia. However, it's something that I think resonates very strongly in the real world as well. Not to get super political about a comic book (*wink*), though.
