Absolute Wonder Woman #17 is a total blast. It balances high-concept magic with raw, physical action and character-driven humor. Diana’s fight with Cale’s Suicide Squad leads to big action in this latest chapter. Thompson’s writing delivers on creating this monstrous brawl. Sherman and Bellaire continue to shine with exceptional work each page. This series is one of the best for good reason. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

    Feb 25, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman #17 delivers a powerhouse fight issue that never loses clarity or momentum. The creative team leans fully into spectacle, but the craft behind it elevates the experience. Sherman’s layouts crackle with energy, Carey’s lettering adds personality and scale, and Bellaire’s colors inject warmth into the carnage. While Zatanna’s larger agenda still lingers in the background, the issue succeeds as a tense, visually inventive showdown that proves Wonder Woman can still dominate even when stripped of her greatest advantage. Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez

    Feb 25, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman #17 cranks the witch war to fever pitch with Diana outsmarting a hit squad through grit and guile, capped by a molten-arm gut punch that demands the next issue. It earns rack space for invested readers chasing this arc's dark magic spiral, blending brawl thrills with horror promise in a package that punches above its occasional stumbles. Casual pull-listers can circle back digitally, but arc followers get a chapter worth the cover price for its raw, unpolished energy.7.5/10We hope you found this article interesting. Get Your Comic On - Luke Deckard

    Feb 25, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman #17 is a chink in the armour. It’s nowhere near as elegant and impressive as the series has proven to be in the past. The setup and payoff for Zatanna might leave readers cold and confused. Others might also wonder about this betrayal. I hope the next issue can iron out these details. This series has worked too hard to maintain some of the best quality in the industry to wobble this much at this stage. Still, the issue isn’t without its highlights. There’s great action, fantastic artwork, an intriguing setup for a new witch, and a death that will take you by surprise. Read Full Review

    BatSledge

    Feb 25, 2026

Just shy of perfection (the first story arc holds that title), this story delivers a deft combination of action, mystery, humor, and suspense, along with some nice character moments with Diana and her friends. Zatanna exits the stage a bit too quickly for my taste, but I have no doubt she’ll be back soon. The last page is a great cliffhanger!

Absolute Wonder Woman Number 17 comes hot off the heels up one of the best issues in the series, Annual 2026. That issue has the best art and a very human heroic Diana. Can this issue match up? In short, No. But not a bad issue by any means. There are just a few things I wish were resolved better ... its kinda lazy and full of missed opportunity. Issue 17 puts us right into backwards word magic, which I cannot stand but I get its Zatanas gimmick) and then poof a resolution right away and Zatana is out? I know she’ll be back but not this issue. We then get a quickly dispatched groups of villains right out of the Golden age of Marstons Villainy inc. Then a brawl with Giganta. The issue really focuses on this and thats really the problem more
