Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest 2025 Annual #1 stands out as more than just a collection of stories; it's presented as a key piece in the ongoing World's Finest saga. It aims to provide crucial backstory while simultaneously propelling the overarching narrative forward. The annual format allows for a deeper exploration of these elements than the regular monthly issues might permit. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Apr 30, 2025

One of the most interesting parts of this issue is the addition of Pythoness, a British supervillain who is long-dead in the present according to Grodd but I can't find any trace of her in DC Comics up until now. Read Full Review

The Legion of Dooms venture into the future starts with a chaotic & entertaining start. Seeing Grodds schemes come into light shines in the writing. McDaid and company craft classic superhero confrontations with the art. The final panel tips off more paradoxes in the mix which is never a bad thing in this crossover. Read Full Review

Akash: Part 3 of "We Are Yesterday reminds us how fun villain team-ups can be with all these different antagonistic personalities clashing against one another while working together. Grodd continues to be a compelling villain as the plot is fleshed out further. As for the John Stewart backup, I doubt I'll remember what happened in it by the time this review is a day old. Comic Watch - Kevin Rossi Apr 30, 2025

Batman / Superman: World's Finest 2025 Annual #1 is the clearest look at just what Grodd and the Legion of Doom are up to. The use of time travel and Worlds Finest continuity makes things feel a little muddy, but the reveal in this issue is so much fun. It also opens the door to some really exciting possibilities. As a whole issue, this has been the best annual for this series, though it is only the second. It also feels the furthest from what Worlds Finest started as. The annual is an excellent display of talent and potential for this universe. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker Apr 30, 2025

Batman/Superman: World's Finest 2025 Annual Issue 1 reunites the epitome of good and evil. There is a purity to this issue, simply throwing a selection of characters against each other as part of Grodd's much larger and nefarious scheme. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez May 1, 2025

Batman / Superman: World's Finest Annual: 2025unveils the secret plan of Gorilla Grodd to assemble the Legion of Doom and take over the world. Christopher Cantwell and Mark Waid's script is packed with nostalgic fun, and Dan Mc Daid's art style is super solid. That said, Grodd's plan doesn't sound smart or effective, so you'll be left with a resounding "Huh?" Read Full Review

The Aspiring Kryptonian - Sam Rakestraw Apr 30, 2025

Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest 2025 Annual #1 moves the 'We Are Yesterday' crossover inches forward but offers prime DC content with Superman and Batman going against their biggest villains without the current climate of the present DC continuity. This once again feels like these characters are being brought back to their roots for better or worse. That being said, this issues strongest suit is the art and action. Read Full Review
