"THE RISE OF RED ARROW"! All Emiko wanted to do was follow in her brother's footsteps and be the Red Arrow, but he refused her. Now she's taken an arrow for him and her life is in the balance. Will she survive to become Red Arrow? And will Green Arrow punish those responsible or find himself in the grave?
All the while, the issue has a sort of poignant message of love and legacy, something that feels fitting as Percy and Ferreyra's fan-favorite run draws to a close. Read Full Review
Juan Ferreyra's artwork is as fantastic as ever, thankfully. I regret that due to the constraints of the Internet I can't fully show you this awesome two-page panel-spreads that are his bread and butter. Still, I've grown fond of Ferreyra's style and use of color and think I will follow him wherever he winds up when the new creative team takes over in two months. Until then, we have one more issue and The Trial Of Oliver Queen to look forward to. Read Full Review
This is a great issue. Ferreyra knocks it out of the park every time he works on the book. The issue focuses on the characters and the emotions surrounding the situation both of which are handled exceptionally well by Percy. The action is also really cool; Shado is the ultimate badass. It's one of the best issues of the current run which is actually saying a lot considering how strong this book has been. Read Full Review
There is a major sacrifice provided by Shado, Emi's mother, that had me unexpectedly in tears. It was a choice that, while not shocking for a mother to make, was still unexpected in this story. Diggle is also provided with a redemption and fist-pumping return to the action. This provides a great moment of commentary about friendship, forgiveness, and judging actions but loving or forgiving a person afterward. Wendy Poole's storyline becomes further complicated after a home invasion. While it shows her as tough and protector of her family, I do wonder what the implications could be for Ollie's trial. It seems like Juan Ferreyra can do no wrong on this book, and if Green Arrow hasn't established him as one of the best artists on DC's roster, then I don't know what will. Read Full Review

This issue of Green Arrow is action-packed, has great art and has me pumped for Ollie's upcoming trial. Ben Percy puts some of his usual agendas on the back burner this month and the result is a fun issue I can recommend. Keep them coming like this and Green Arrow will certainly shoot up my pile. This issue was good, a bit of a quick read though. Art was consistent for the most part. Percy's writing was excellent for this story as well. Read Full Review
This was a fun, quick, but also light issue. Ferreyra's art is pure magic but a big part of me is really excited that Percy's run is finally ending. Read Full Review
Juan Ferreyra is the artist on deck for this issue. I like his work very much, though it sometimes reminds me of the painted illustrations from Heavy Metal back in the 1980s. Thats not a bad thing, mind you. In the case of Green Arrow, it works quite well. Though I wish there could be ONE artist drawing an entire story arc, soup to nuts. Until DC Comics ends the bimonthly, publishing schedule, I doubt well see it. Read Full Review
