The Nice House on the Lake #7 is further confirmation we're seeing the makings of a classic horror comic as it develops. What's surprising is how much of the story is still in the process of revealing itself. Less meticulous creators would've probably given most or the entire mystery away by now. Tynion and Martnez Bueno are still in the secret keeping business and it's making the looming finale feel like a massive event ready to change the very definition of horror. Read Full Review
This really needed a couple of pages of “previously on Blossom…” style pages to fill in the gaps since issue #6. It was hard enough to keep up with the various protagonists (who change every issue) as well as the dense and labyrinthine twists and shocks that the story has already provided. It is not the issue pick up randomly but if you're brave pick up the collected version of issues 1#6 or beg your LCBS to find the back issues. It's still a great story that leaves a stress headache after you read but that's what a great book does, challenge the reader and keep them focussed! Read Full Review

I'm normally long winded in my reviews but here ill keep it short and sweet. Nice house is finally back and it didn't miss a beat. Its perfect. Go read it and fall in love like the rest of us. This is a classic unfolding before our eyes.
Holy crap, this is horrifying.
Quickly review the previous six issues before reading the latest one. While going through the storyline, I keep feeling the amazing narratives and artwork. Too many characters in this series (well 12 is kind of many for me), so I had to go back to issue 1 to see who is who. Some characters' appearances look quite similar, making me misunderstand the ending of issue 6. The first half of issue 7 explains it quite well. Five issues left, so when will the 'hungry games' scene begin?
A pretty great return.
Tynion and Martinez Bueno hit the ground running after a brief break, bringing us another issue fantastic issue full of subtle psychological horror. The issue almost delights in making the reader feel uneasy, as it splices Norah's inner turmoil between glimpses of Walter hanging out in the Nice House as if all is well. It's all still so VERY OMINOUS and the parts with Norah are among the bleakest we've seen so far. They really cut to the core of the horror element in the book for me and made me so happy that this title is back, as it was one of my favorite books of 2021.
Glad this is back
I'll probably have to re read the previous issues. I should have but, I enjoyed the return overall, it just felt confusing at times due to the amount of characters to keep track of.
On the one hand, each issue I love the concepts. On the other hand, keeping track of who is who, what gender they are, and what their sexuality is keeps me from fully understanding what I’m reading. I think the art makes it confusing along with so many of them seemingly LGBTQ+. It’s a lot to keep track of and I’m not doing that great. (That is not meant to imply in any way that the LGBTQ+ concepts shouldn’t be part of this, but simply that I get lost.)
Yeah so... this comic is kind of shit. Like, on the surface level, it's competently produced. The art is... good enough, and the writing at least makes sense. But holy shit, these characters are such boring assholes. They're postcard people. This may just be me outing myself and the lot I hang with, but these don't feel like real people to me so much as polished, perfect little versions of the friends Tynion has, or the friends he wishes he had. And you know, if that's the case, there is nothing wrong with writing your friends into your stories. That's not the point. The point is that they don't feel real to me. They all have a very similar, very safe yet slightly quirky voice that I find extremely fake and boring. It's way too neat and premore
