The Amazing Spider-Man#52 finally brings a fight that was two years in the making to its pages, featuring non-stop action with a splash of horror. It also happens to end with a whopping cliffhanger, promising to shift the thrust of the story. Even though it's only three issues in, this storyline is paying off years of setup and promises to cement Spencer as one of the greatest Spider-Man writers in the character's history. Spidey fans won't want to miss this. Read Full Review
Patrick Gleason does a lot with the art in this issue. There is a lot going on in the story and Gleason keeps the art clean and full of beautiful details. There is a dark, dramatic energy to the story and the art perfectly captures it. Read Full Review
Patrick Gleason's art matches the tone of the issue. Every panel is rough, and I especially love how Peter's suit deteriorates from the beginning to the end of the battle. The possessed Spider-Family members have some pretty unique designs as well. We leave off on a hell of a cliffhanger, but I'm pretty sure it's not the end. Hopefully, we explore a bit more about Harry's turn to Kindred and his goal for Peter. Read Full Review
DO NOT let this issue get spoiled for you... the ending of this book will freak you out! Don't deny yourself that experience. This is a fantastic comic with both story and art building throughout the book to a great big last page shocker!!!!! (No, it's not Shocker.) Read Full Review
Amazing Spider-Man #52 is built around the impact of the final page. How we get there is done extremely well by Nick Spencer as we are finally given the first face-to-face meeting between Spider-Man and Kindred. How this meeting breaks down and leads to the decision Peter Parker is forced to make leaves us in a place of uncertainty with how things will turn out. It is that uncertainty that drives greater interest in the final chapters of "Last Remains." Read Full Review

This long-awaited battle does not disappoint. Read Full Review
A brutal fight night between Spider-Man and Kindred delivers on emotion and scale, but leaves one still questioning where this story is even going. Read Full Review
Last Remains continues to entertain this reviewer, where both the main issues and the "point" LR issues feel substantial and equally act as necessary reads. This arc is proving to be some of Spencer's best and strongest since he's been given this title, and I'm happy to ask for more. Read Full Review
This was freaking AMAZING, Patrick Gleason is a beast.
Oh man...
Everything's coming up Kindred! Honestly, there's been a tooon of naysayers that have been saying there's no way that One More Day could be fixed; that Marvel editorial wouldn't allow it. And to be fair, that could still be the case. But the snappy way this issue ended definitely caught me off guard and at least shows me that editorial is probably not as vivacious as assumed. We'll see. I haven't read the other issue yet, but I doubt we'll be getting answers there.
Fantastic writing and artwork! Huge cliffhanger I can’t wait for the next issue!
Holy crap! I haven't been so excited about a story-arc in years. Kindred is really trying to destroy Peter Parker's life and I've rarely seen a more twisted villain. If this fixes the most infamous Spider-Man story ever, this whole new series will be 10/10.
Umm, what???
"It's dosen't matter who i was, Pete. It matter what i've become."
- KINDRED
Well that escalated quickly.
This issue sure didn't take me long to read, but was still a pretty exciting one. I'd grown weary of the 2 year mystery of Kindred, but the battle with him has renewed interest in the character. He's sunk pretty low as well. One thing though, Isn't it a little soon for Flash's remains to actually be reduced to bones? The way time seems to go in comics I'd figured he's only been gone a few months.
This is a good continuation of the previous Sin-Eater story and shows it was indeed leading to something big. Every issue proves that this is the best Spider-Man has been in many years.
Very quick read but still good. It's outstanding on the art front from Gleason and Delgado as that kept me in it. I'm still not sold on this story until they deliver. I'm tired of the bait and switch (insert own carrot and stick analog here). I'll revisit when they deliver answers. Next!!
It was kind of an action issue but it had some really good parts. Kindred is a great villain so far and I'm really excited to see where this goes.
This issue hits hard and fast, like a great drum solo. But the setting is so surreal and the villain so mystical that I doubt the reality and finality of the Serious Developments we see here -- even setting aside the usual "Spidey has to win in the end" certainty. Now, with such a cynical take, you might expect me to dismiss the Spidey/Kindred combat as inconsequential. But the artist's fight scenes are just too dang good for that. Even if I think it doesn't matter in the long term, I feel Peter's pain in the present.
